I picked my CK3510SE up in Jan. I had ordered it way back in June and it had taken that long to get here. I'm pretty confident they would have tried to slip me a 60" if I had not reiterated the specs list I requested like 17 times. I also requested AG tires vs the R4 or R14 variation, which apparently was gonna take a bit longer. I would not take it till all was correct and that I was perfectly happy with whatever delays were needed.

Now some of this was at the height of the shipping issues too and might have been valid. Just felt like dealer games

Did you price out a Bobcat? Same tractor in white but different implement manufacturers. I had a CT235 for 8 years (CK35) I bought in 2011 and I paid $40,000CA for the tractor, 7TL loader, front mount snowblower, 72" rear finish mower, and 7TBH backhoe. Unfortunately I was forced to sell it 2 years ago.

Glad you got the loader thing sorted out. I have a Kioti DK 45...great tractor. If fact Kioti is the only manufacturer to make ALL its parts in house.

I can offer you this opinion on your choice of snow blower. Get a 2 stage pull type blower. I'm also in Ontario and have a 1/2 km long driveway. The first snowfall I have to blow I raise the blower About 1" so I'm not picking up gravel. I let that freeze down and drop the blower all the way for the rest of the Winter. My neighbor also has a long driveway and a front mount blower. His blower tends to 'float' and his driveway gets pretty washboardy. Btw the 1" of ice/packed snow I've been driving over all Winter is now 90% gone and, except for a frozen culvert, the driveway is flat and in great shape. There are several companies in Ontario that make 2 stage pull type blowers. Mine is made by Walco and has given me many years of trouble free service. Also the are no problems with the mid pto and the linkages you need for a front blower.

Am I being unrealistic? Looking for advice.
This will be my first tractor purchase I was looking at a Kioti CK3510SE HST Cab tractor with loader KL4030C, mid pto as I want a front snow blower (intend to purchase it this Summer), R14 tires, bolt on cutting edge, lift rod kit.
I live in Ontario Canada. the price was $39,500 Cdn + HST.
I have never paid sticker price for anything however in this case it was a take it or leave it price. I first walked away and then swallowed my pride and agreed to asking price.
Went to make a cash down pmt and lo and behold the 66" bucket had become a 60" bucket. Bait and switch?

I dislike it when a sales person tells me one thing and then it is another?

I walked away.

Am I being unrealistic?

I can wait till the fall to make a purchase if I have to.

Any thoughts / advice?

Thank you
A seller can ask any price. You can pay or walk. It’s pretty simple. How badly do you want it?

My bad. I did not realize until you pointed it out that I had posted incorrectly to Kubota instead of Kioti.
I can only say that at the time i was upset about it.
Again my apologies everyone.
The HST is a tax similar to a state tax it is 13% in Ontario.

Yes I did look at other tractors. I originally was thinking Kubota however went with Kioti because of hydraulic capacity and more features were standard on the Ck3510SE.
Good fortunes with your new tractor.

The main outcome is you are happy with your purchase and bought the exact tractor you wanted.

I own a Kubota, but there is nothing wrong with Kioti tractors. They may have been on my shopping list if there were any reputable dealers nearby.

My argument at the dealer would be " nobody sells a FEL where the bucket is narrower then the front tires.
P. S. 90% of us can care less that the post is technically in the wrong spot.

Umm I didn't pay any sales tax when I bought my tractor last year. AG stuff here in USA is mostly exempt from taxes.

GL with your new tractor.

That 13% tho helps pay for FREE healthcare.... something missing here in the US sadly. We would rather pay corporate heads that extra tax you pay to the government.

Money well spent.

SNIP....

Oh, bat squat. That sounds like advertising BS. They are fine tractors, but false statements like that only hurts their credibility.

What on there is not made by Daedong? Besides maybe the nuts/bolts/hoses?

You said ALL parts, not me. Tires, battery, all electricals, lights, circuitry, alternator, gauges & senders wiring, castings, bearings, bushings, bearings, plastics, paint, stickers, pistons & valves, mufflers, all the hydraulics... the list goes on and on. Critical items are what matter: crankshafts, straight & bevel gear assemblies, shafts.

For any manufacturer it might well be easier to list what they do make rather than what they don't.

There are very few manufacturers still doing their own smelting and pouring for example. JD used to, I have no idea if they still do.

The point is not what parts are made in house or not, the point is that spouting sales jargon as truth doesn't make a brand more creditable to any one but the gullible newbies. It is to protect them that I call bat squat.

I would not pay so much for an off brand like that
If you consider Kioti as an off brand you probably consider a Buick as an off brand too.
ok, we will keep an eye out for your "wish I'd bought a kubota" thread in a couple of months.
I would be willing to bet that ain't gonna happen.

Probably not. I have a buddy with a Kioti. He could mess up anything and his once-new tractor is a wreck. But it runs OK and he loves it. Someone should hire him to pre-disaster test their designs. And of course when he is done for the day he just shuts it off and leaves it in the field to weather until the next time.
He swears that he does check the oil and water sometimes. We've never discussed actually changing them.

I didnt say that...

Oops no, not you. Bugmeist said it - or I think he did... and I lept on it hoping to make a useful point about salesmen that might benefit somebody maybe.
As much as I wish my favorite manufacturer still made all their own parts..... they don't. And all I can hope for is they don't buy from the lowest bidder.

It's an "off brand" weather you like or not.
When you sell one used and compare prices to the two major players- it will be obvious.
I've seen many "wish I'd bought a kubota threads." Many from current or former kioti owners.
Don't worry, means nothing to me what kind of tractor anyone buys. Just don't ask to borrow any of mine.

You kioti owners sure get butt hurt easily. Maybe stay in your own forum? It will be much easier to avoid the truth.
