I would also like for the Bobcat dealers to provide the 120 differences between a Kioti and a Bobcat.
As a matter in fact just tell me 50 differences.
I stood their and watched them roll down the assembly line one orange tractor two orange tractor 1 white tractor another orange tractor.
I did not see anyone grabbing from different parts baskets.

I think the only real difference in these tractors are going to be made by the salesman!

O and of coarse the color and loaders and backhoes.

I'll bet there are at least 120 parts that are painted white ;)

One of the things the Bobcat dealer told me was that they were provided with a Powerpoint presentation that listed the "120" differences between the Kioti and the Bobcat versions.

I will try and get the info when I am at the Farm Show this weekend.

The other day as I drove past my local Bobcat dealer where they have a White "CK25" and a "CK30" on display and noticed they now have a White "CK20" size next to them! I thought they were only selling the "CK25/30" ?

Naa it is not the name... it is the white paint... they get it from the same place that John Deere does. :)

Coobie, you got an exceptional deal.
That is less than what we pay for that machine.
Then add the cost of setting it up with a battery etc.
Exceptionally exceptional deal!! :D:D:D

No Kioti dealers left in WI, so am curious does Bobcat offer a Mid mower on any of their units?

One quick note. I called the Bobcat dealer near me to see if they were going to sell any of the larger class Kioti tractors (i'm looking at a DK35) because, i said, 'they are essentially the same tractor'.

He went on to say they weren't, that they made all of these improvements, etc, so i asked him for an example. 'Our suspension seat is the best in the industry!' haha.

Anyway, he said they should be introducing a 335 series pretty soon, which sounds like the DK35 in white based on the stats he provided. The upside for me is that there are Bobcat dealers nearby, the closest Kioti dealer is ~80 miles. Not sure it's worth the premium though.

(Off topic, i saw the DK35 in person for the first time last night...didn't get to drive it, but i really liked the size and setup...definitely still at the top of the shortlist)

There is a Bobcat dealer near State College that I go past quite often, one of these days I am going to stop and take a look at the tractors they have sitting in front of their store.
The pictures that Wallace posted some time ago show them coming off the same assembly line as the Kiotis.

The DK35se is very similar to the DK40se and 45se. Other than a few horsepower and bigger rear axle, the major difference I could find was that the 40/45 have a much more powerful loader. If your work is loader intensive the 40/45 have advantages. There is not a huge leap in price from the 35 to 40 so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the note. They had the DK45 there, which i thought was probably too big for what i'm going to do, but i am going to try to take a look at the DK40 before long. Agreed it's a good deal if you can use it.

As best I can tell the main differences between the new DK35 and 40 are not really in the horse power...38 vs 41. What is different are the axles (someone mentioned the DK35 shares rear axle at least with the CK35) and most important for me at least is the difference in capacity between the KL351 and KL401 loaders (for the DK35 and 40/45 respectively).

For clearing brush, breakout capacity and rollback force are important numbers as it gives you and idea of what size tree/bush you can just pop out of the ground with bucket or grapple rather than needing to cut them down and dig out the stump. Popping them out obviously takes virtually no time (knock it over, expose the roots, stick the grapple underneath and curl/lift...pop and you are done and on your way to the burn pile never breaking a sweat, getting off your seat or risking life and limb). The alternative of cutting it down then digging out the stump takes 30 extra minutes at least and means you actually have to do some work. The KL351 has breakout capacity of 2640lbs and rollback force of 2760lbs while the KL401 can do 3720lbs and 4600lbs respectively. Total lift capacity is also quite different (1400 vs 2700lbs). I don't know why there is such a big difference between the two when the DK35 and 40/45 are part of the same series and not so very different in horsepower but the fact remains.

The CK and DK are different chassis. The DK35 is a 38HP 3 cylinder engine, the DK40 is a 4 cylinder, tires sizes are different, and has been posted, the KL401 loader on the DK40se is quite a bit stronger than the KL351 on the DK35se... The DK35Se is a significant upgrade from the CK35 and the DK35SE bridges the gap between the CK35 and DK40SE as the 40 seems to some to be getting into a larger class of tractor, not as "compact" but still not quite "utility" in size.

I just learned today that Bobcat is adding a 22hp tractor to their line. Basically the same as a CT120, it is called the CT122 and has a 22hp 61.6cu in engine. The price I was quoted, including a loader is $14,042. That, I was told, is $500 more that the CT120. The price I was told in December was probably a ball park figure which they gave out at their open house.

I was pretty well set on the Kioti CK20 hst because of the price difference then. However, since the price is now much closer and the Bobcat dealer is only five miles from where we will be building, my mind seems to liking white paint a lot better (it does have orange wheels, though).

I will add pics when I finally make a purchase.

Isn't that essentially just a CK20S?

Sure sounds like it to me! Guess BobCat got tired of trying to sell the old tractors and decided to upgrade to the new ones. :)

It is essentially a CK20S HST, with changes that Bobcat specified which includes a loader from a different manufacturer. There are, I was told, 133 changes based on the Kioti warranty records that the Bobcat people studied.

I think either of the two brands will serve me well. It is only a question of the closer dealer which also has a good reputation in the area.
