He may have been, but I'm pretty sure Junkman owned a Kubota and a couple Bolens tractors.

AndyM, I think you are confusing KiotiJohn and Junkman. KiotiJohn as the name infers was a Kioti man. He was very active in this forum and a treasure-trove of Kioti knowledge. I for one miss his contributions and I hope that one day he will come back, that would be cool.

I think things have gotten much better and wish he would come back. He has too much to share to stay away...

I agree...
Junkman often got frustrated with the way people would misunderstand the things he said, and often left for periods of time to cool down. He has too much knowledge about too many subjects, and shared so much of it in his 7,000+ posts. It's been over a year since we've heard from him; hopefully he will be back soon!

for whatever reason junkman left, got thrown off or whatever happened, you are missing many years of experience with tractors. ****, he goes back to solid steel wheels, long before driveshafts and rubber tires.... I believe he probably will return, and it would immensly help the newer people looking at tractors.

Junkman.. he was such a hoot.. I loved his posts! I had heard he had showed up at a pig roast held at another member's house that was out of town on vacation! The house was trashed.. the police showed up.. but I heard they all had a great time!

Oh, I think Bob is confused about the time Junkman and a few other select friends showed up at Bob's house and had that wild party when Bob was gone out of the country. I tried telling him that you just can't have a pig roast indoors!! He had to prove me wrong. Sorry 'bout that one Bob.

The reason for departure was made clear by KJ. It was with regard to comments made. Some folks disagree without being disagreeable...that was KJ. Unfortunately, several members disagreed and were very disagreeable and that is why he gave a warning that he would leave and then he did leave when the disagreeable one continued with hocus pocus. I was very close to following suit but instead just stopped reading that post about front loaders on Kioti. If you go back and read about it, you will even know who the disagreeable folks were and then you will have the answer as to why KJ un bookmarked tractorbynet.
He was one of my favorites too and this site is significantly "less" for his leaving.
