I heard the new way they are doing it now isn't quite so invasive , time will tell on that one .
Brother in law had it done last year, and it was outpatient, he went home the same day. Quite a change from when my father had it done (at more or less the same age as BIL), and he was in the hospital for the better part of a week.I can't see how sawing off your knee joint and then pinning and gluing on a new metal one can be less invasive.![]()

Over the course of about 10 years (2000 to 2010) I had 3 back surgeries - each time, to do about the same thing at different points. Each made a much smaller incision and healed much easier. I've one knee that is going out.3 Knee surgeries were a walk in the park compared to back surgery.![]()
