I know this is a long shot. Can anyone make an educated guess what this knocking sound is? Brand new Branson 2515 less than 10 hrs.

I definitely hear it.

10 hr.s eh? Have you gone over your rig and tightened every nut/bolt that you can see/find?
Greased every grease nipple (zerk)?
If it moves, but doesn't have a grease nipple, given it a shot of lubricant?
Confirmed the torque on the wheel lugs?
Ensured that the fluid levels (oil/hydraulic/coolant) are topped up?

My NH Boomer made a similar noise and it was the muffler starting to come loose at the engine manifold. Torqued and never came loose again.

Interesting that you shared this. I have the same exact noise, but mine goes away if I press the clutch. With yours being an hydro, you don't have a clutch, so whatever causes the noise shouldn't be related to a clutch.

This was actually discussed in this thread: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/century-branson/428210-branson-throw-out-bearing-concerns.html

I have a video of mine, doing the noise. It's more noticeable at higher RPMs. At first, we thought it was clutch related because K5's Branson is also Shuttle shift, but after checking your video, I guess it's not.

Anyway, I'm a bit over 230 hours, most of hard use, and so far I haven't had any problems with either the clutch or the engine.

Mine is definitely the throw out bearing. It only makes the noise when I push the clutch in to stop. I have no idea what is making that sound on your tractor. Interesting.

My 2400H has clutch that is used to engage & operate the PTO. Does the 2515 have this also?

Clutch also removes drive power to the HST

Sounds like a diesel to me. If you don't like it, get a tractor with an Isuzu diesel or one with a diesel similar to what's in a VW TDI. Have an Isuzu diesel driving our Central Maine generator. It sounds like a gasoline engine. So did the VW TDI.

It's not the engine sound. It's the rattling sound over the engine noise.

Here is another example at around 1 min mark:

It sounds more noticable at higher RPM's. Have you looked for anything loose in the engine compartment? Belt, fan hitting shroud etc?

determine exactly how to make the noise happen and run it in to the dealer. nice its warranteed
