I tried that, the local rental places only have walk behinds, nothing on a 3 pt for my machine.

Don't miss tractor dealerships that also rent. Most rental shops here do not rent equipment that the NH dealership does.

I thought about that too, problem is that I'm in coal mining/natural gas/oilfield/logging country, not farming country. Closest dealer is ~ 3hrs away!!! By the time I burn diesel for 2 or 3 runs a year back and forth, plus the rental, per year I'd probably have 1200$ into it already. LocallyCat Rental and Volvo Rents can provide me with a GIANT generator, or some rig mats, but no 3pt implements.

Good thought though, if I were closer I'd do that in a second....
