Used winches are very scarce. Finding one on CL hardly reverses that fact.

3501 is 440 lbs plus cable weight and is for tractors 30hp and up.
Might be still too big for yours but HP recommendations is for getting the most “use” out of the winch’s ability.
A 25 HP can still run it, but just not as well.

Someone here might be able to correct me on that

Still, best lead so far. I'm talking to him about just ordering the one I want. I can wait a bit as far as getting it, but like the current price and again, nearby vendor.

When we lived in Iowa, I found them through Craigslist advertisement. Only reason I found them.

but I moved to Alaska before buying one and found the Krpan instead.

Think I've got a winch! First, Igland dealer about 130 miles from home can likely obtain a 2501 by summer or fall. That would work for me just fine. But then, I found a Norse dealer about 100 miles away that has 6 250s coming, 4 spoken for, by May or so. These are a whopping $25 more than the Iglands-and apparently a more sure thing.....so now 5 of those have been put on lockdown! Woo hoo!

Haven't visited this site for awhile. Bought a KRPAN 3.5e from Pickens in 2019 for $3k plus shipping. I am in the mountains of northern New Mexico and use it for thinning and firewood. It has been lightly used and has been awesome. It is a great winch! It is recommended for 20-45hp tractors. Weighs 570 lb before wire so probably 600+ with wire. I am getting a larger tractor and need a larger winch. Have been so pleased with KRPAN that I ordered a KRPAN 4.5e and need to sell my 3.5e. Am asking $2,200 plus shipping to you or pickup in NM 87025. Have manuals. See photos.
