Most late model full sized 1/2 ton pickups can tow about 10k. Definitely would want a 2 axle trailer.

If you can cut a deal that makes you feel good, I wouldn't have any concerns about sitting outside for two years- not ideal, but lots of tractors and other machines do just that their whole lives. I went from an 80's basic gear Kubota to a Grand L 3130, which proved too heavy for our needs, to a L3400, and I miss those Grand features- not enough to wish I hadn't gotten the L3400, but still... You didn't say, but will you be moving the tractor around a lot via truck and trailer??

Re Transport: I will trailer often...from home where I have 80 acres of mostly woods...with probably just under 1 mile of trails and a 2-3 acre field that I mow once a year...will mow more often if I have an appropriate mower. Note it is not "lawn" but does look nice when mowed by a mower (not brush hog'd). I trailer to a cabin on a small lake about 30 miles away...there I mow cabin lot...and also have another 40 acres about 1/2 mile from the cabin. That 40 acres is my "avocation". It has close to one mile of trails that need to be maintained, added to and widened a bit. I also do a lot of small tree work there...the 40 acres is both a natural blueberry patch and also a White and Red Pine natural seedling patch. Since the deers eat nearly 100% pf the White Pine new growth I fence in the your White Pines...the Reds do fine by themselves.

Soooo...I will be trailering 30 miles and back at least a dozen times a summer. Depending if I get a MMM I may also need to transport a lawn/garden tractor.

With the L3560 I would not have a MMM so my LT/GT would be another item to transport...may not fit all on at once.

My guess is any L series and likely B series will require a dual axle trailer and may make sense to get a pretty long one :) IF I went up to the L3560 I might even be pushing 3/4 ton PU size?

Part of the multiple ramifications of my choice. My current uses w/o a tractor are more centered around Sear's lawn tractor (25HP, 42" deck, and wheel weights and chains). Also have a DR Brush Mower and various chain saws...a "saw on a stick" and other hand tools. I have no doubt I would find an amazing amount to do with a heavier and more powerful CUT like the 3560...otherwise I will use B series or maybe BX (unlikely) to do what my LT currently does and "build" tasks from there.

I am 68 years old so best get started soon :) Tom R

I wouldn't want a MMM. You have to remove them to do any tractor work. They are a PITA to hook up and unhook, and it doesn't get any easier when you get older. I have a 72" finish mover I used to pull with the L3240. Like you I have two (3 now) different places to take care of. One was 70 miles away. The ton truck getting 8 mpg and the hassle of hooking up the trailer and chaining the tractor down gets old real fast. I bought a B7100 with a MMM to leave up there. It takes care of the mowing and if needed I can grade the gravel drive with it. I still have to move the bigger tractor for big projects, but that is a couple times a year vs ever couple weeks.

I'm 65 and I don't envy you trailering a tractor a dozen times a year. Make it as easy as possible on yourself. I wouldn't want to haul my Kubota B2620 on a single axle.

Some things that make tractoring easier are sliding stabilizers. They are available as an option from many dealers or can be purchased from 3rd parties. Here's a video that shows what I'm talking about.

If you are buying all new implements, check out quick hitch and quick hitch compatible 3 point hitch implements. I didn't go this route because I had a number of used implements.
.
I agree a 3 pt finish mower would be more convenient especially if you don't have a lot of bushes and trees to trim around.

I wouldn't want to haul my Kubota B2620 on a single axle.I brought my trailer...6'x10' Felling 2x6 deck, single axle trailer to Kubota dealer and drove 2650 up on it. Seemed a bit too much...for the trailer and maybe my 2004 Land Cruiser. I will likely buy a double axle trailer...pretty long...and maybe a stronger tow vehicle. I do have a pretty short tow distance 25-30 miles on nice two lane, quiet rural highway.

In general I have gotten pretty used to trailering just about every time I head up to our cabin. Just need the right equipment all the way around :) Thanks...Tom R

I want some if those. Any idea how much they cost?

Mark Hodge quit making them for awhile but I've heard he is doing it again now. I don't remember what I paid. But they are available from other Kubota models and I have seen posts on TBN where people put them on various other models not specifically designed for them but they worked fine.

Yeah, they are available from Kubota for $125-175 depending on the model/size tractor -- dealer can order them if not in stock. I ordered mine online from Messicks.
