Kubota 2250 - What engine speed to mow at

I was reading the thread on bogging and lugging and started to think about it with my Kubota Bx2250(or a Bx2200, I can never remember).

Anyway, I mow 4.5 acres weekly in S/S/F and have always run it at WOT (We have a big hill I go up and down about 30 times) and control the speed with my HST GO! Pedal.
I am now wondering if I should keep my engine WOT constantly and wonder what others do? Does it harm the engine. I do not have a tachymeter, so I don't know the RPMs are(I bought the tractor 4 years old and have had it for 2 years and now has 400 hours) .

I'd be appreciative to know what others are doing and hear what the forum senior members thougts are as well.

Have BX2230 with 60 inch deck and bagger. If it is heavy grass doing side discharge then will run at full throttle, during summer with lighter grass will back down a little. When using bagger will almost always use full throttle to get max lift from blower unless going along driveway so not to suck the gravel up.

my tractor says it will produce 540 PTO RPM at 2400-2700 engine RPM, so that's what I mow at, but then I also don't have an HST.

does your Kub have a tach that;s not working?
do you have a manual that tells you what speed you should mow at?
if you have a tach that's not working, I'd get it fixed before mowing season starts back up.
