Kubota 60" MM Mower Blades?

Do some searches on blade sharpening. With the right equipment, you can quickly get the blades off, put them in a vice, grind them to a new edge, check for balance, and put them back on. By the time you've been through a new set or two, or paid someone else to sharpen them 2 or 3 times, you will have recouped your investment.
I usually buy an extra set. Keep one on and the other set to sharpen later so I can swap them out when needed. I've been hunting better ways to sharpen mower blades. Looking in the Supply stores that sell mowers and the stone on the end of the drill still seems to be the only thing for sell or in my search. Those have been around for 30 years at least and guess it's still the chosen method for a reasonable price. $8 including piece of plastic for balancing blade. I've got an old one some where but bought one in case I can't find my old one. I also bought a thing that goes on the end of a Dremel with a small round cutting stone but have never tried it. I do have the bench grinder but was wondering if there was that new and improved fantastic way that I didn't know about. Seems not.

A 4" angle grinder seems to work best for me.

Ditto.

I do see the logic of having a second set so you can change them out, then sharpen the ones you just took off whenever you have time to get to them. That's what I do with pool filters, 'cause it takes all day to clean a set. (Gosh I wish I had never put in a pool.)

I have had one set of mulching blades for 10 years, and they have mowed the tops off of some stream cobble a number of times. I just resharpen them, and expect them to last as long as the MMM does.

About 5 years ago I got the Kubota mulching baffles for my 60" and a set of Gator blades.
They work great.
I kept the original blades and have them sharpened and waiting as back-ups.
The Gator blades require a bushing, as already has been posted.
I was able to make my bushing using a slice of Cat0 to Cat1 adapter.
Your method of making that "slice" will vary on your available tools.

As far as sharpening goes, my bench grinder works great for that.

Funny, I can clean, sharpen and balance a set of 60" blades in about 5 minutes...Not to hard here...Takes longer to remove then anything.
