I usually buy an extra set. Keep one on and the other set to sharpen later so I can swap them out when needed. I've been hunting better ways to sharpen mower blades. Looking in the Supply stores that sell mowers and the stone on the end of the drill still seems to be the only thing for sell or in my search. Those have been around for 30 years at least and guess it's still the chosen method for a reasonable price. $8 including piece of plastic for balancing blade. I've got an old one some where but bought one in case I can't find my old one. I also bought a thing that goes on the end of a Dremel with a small round cutting stone but have never tried it. I do have the bench grinder but was wondering if there was that new and improved fantastic way that I didn't know about. Seems not.Do some searches on blade sharpening. With the right equipment, you can quickly get the blades off, put them in a vice, grind them to a new edge, check for balance, and put them back on. By the time you've been through a new set or two, or paid someone else to sharpen them 2 or 3 times, you will have recouped your investment.
