kubota b2320 will not start

I have been having a starting issue for the last few months. when I turn the key the tractor will not start up. All of the lights come as normal.
Its acting like pto thinks that its engaged. I thought at first it was a temperature thing. If I let the tractor sit for a few minutes it will start right up, But then other times the tractor will not start when its been sitting in the garage for weeks.
I try engaging and disengaging the pto, I release all pressure in the arms of the tractor as well as trying the clutch. sometimes it takes me more then 20 minutes of messing around to get it started.
I am wondering if the pto saftey switch is acting up. Does anyone know where this is located?
The tractor is a b2320 with 150 hours.

I have the same tractor with 135 hours. You didn't mention if you are checking the HST pedal. Try rocking it to fwd and rev to get it centered.

This is another item that will set off the safety over ride.

Mine does the same thing.

This was a common problem with the B7800 which I experienced but my B2320 was my first and last gear drive Kubota so no HST pedal to have this possible issue..

It has not happened since the last time. Its very rare that it does. It pretty much only happens at the worst time. Like when its 5 minutes till dark and i am down in the woods with out a flashlight.

Ror105 I think your right. It has done it twice recently and both times i was able to get it to start by rocking the hst pedal back and forth a few times. This will also happen when i get off the tractor. It wants to stall out. I have to sit down quickly so it doesnt. Rocking the pedal back and forth also fixes this. Thanks again!!!

Glad I could help!! Mine does it when it has sat awhile but after the PTO lever that is the next thing I check!

So this happened to my B2920 and progressively got to a point where it would not start no matter how many times I rocked the pedal. Under the tractor floor board near the HST filter there is a safety switch for the HST pedal which has a adjustable plunder (basically a large nut) - I turned it so now a better contact is made it went from no stating to starting every time. It is my impression this is the main source of the problem and the PTO lever position secondary.

There is a grease point where the pedal pivots under the floor board. When mine was doing the same thing I mentioned it to the dealer and they showed me that point to grease. I hit it occasionally and have not had trouble with it since.

Jambx has it right. Though adjusting that switch can be tricky due to its location. The problem I see most often is lack of lubrication in the tube the rod slides through. Spray it with some penetrating oil while rocking the pedal back and forth and make sure there isn't any debris keeping the rod from moving. If that doesn't solve your problem then adjust the switch.
