Kubota B2601 Loader Pressure Adjust

First off, Thank you for the info!

Now has your buddy seen any side affects of this now since it has been 7 months? I just checked mine, it was right at 2k PSI just above idle and at 2100rpms, pretty much no difference in PSI. So i put in a 4mil shim (From factory it had 3 shims it in already, super thin and what appears to be two .5mil shims and now my .40 mil shim total of 4 shims) and it raised it to 2250. The main reason I did this is it seems like my lifting power has degraded some since new or more noticeable when warm, will monitor it for a few weeks and see.

Next question, has anyone seen the similar issue with there 3rd function valve getting weaker? My grapple seems to have issues staying clamped tightly closed on items (small logs) I know its not a huge machine but when you pick up a log it just slips right back out, I have tried bleeding it by cycle open close many times but it just seems like if you close it hard you can open it slightly even by hand. FYI it is the Landpride 2 cylinder version grapple I can get the part number if it matters.

Thanks,

Did you get any responses? I just bought a new 2601 and am curious if you fixed your problem.

Hi, I am a newbie with 2017 B2601. This is all I could justify for 1.6 acres. But it is a bit anemic on the loader, especially when you add 350lb forks to it.

Thanks for posting this solution along with the pics and reference to the kit from BXPANDED. Nice that they provide shims along with the gauge. I realize this is a stupid question, given this process is pushing the pressure limit outside manufacturers recommendations.. but I am wondering about the safety tolerances of these cylinders and if there is a range at which the risk of cylinder damage is low, while still improving performance a bit.

It looks like the hydraulic system certainly won't be stressed by raising pressure to 2300 PSI given the HST calls for a range up to 3600 PSI. But as you already advised the loader circuit calls for a max of 2000. So this is more of a bump post, similar to the last two.. has anyone who as made this mod experienced any negative consequences in terms of loader damage as a result of pushing the max pressure to ~2300-2400 PSI?

Zargnut, I just installed the kit, can't remember which site i bought it from, but it had a .4, .2, and .1 mil shims. Raised my pressure from about 2025 psi to 2300 psi. I'll let you know what happens if you still watch this thread.
