I'm trying to hook up a third function valve to a Kubota B2920, and I'm trying to determine where the power beyond port is

This is a picture I got off the net, not mine but same valve

Here is a valve diagram and where the hoses appear to go

If you have the LA402 loader this is how it should be hooked up. The OEM rear remotes feed is pulled off of the rockshaft, but not in the spot where those rubber hoses are at in your picture.

I believe item 18 page 21 in the PDF is the PB hex plug and you can add the 3rd valve there.

LA364 (B2620 /B2920) Loader

The above pic is from a LA402 loader. same as la364

Return hose is on the bottom left.

IN hose bottom right.

You have to tie in between the loader valve and 3pt, there is a hard line that runs from the loader valve( under the seat pan) to the "hat" for the rocker shaft. Loader valve side a SAE 8 fitting will work in place of the factory banjo fitting. The fitting on the 3pt side is a 3/8 bspp. Tank return can be T'd into the flex line coming off the bottom of the loader valve.

OK, I think I've got it. Looks like the instructions call for removing the steel line that goes from port #18 (power beyond) to 3 pt hitch. Then I basically hook the 3rd function valve in series between these points, the hose from the loader valve will go into the P port of the 3rd function valve and the T port of the 3rd function valve will go back into the 3pt hitch.

Does that sound right?

I guess this means that I need to make sure I'm not using the 3rd function and 3pt hitch adjustment at same time.

I'm working off my phone and it won't bring up your pictures, if you don't have pb on the new valve then you are correct

You can almost bet the PB screw is installed as the return port goes to tank, and the PB port goes back to the 3pt.

As far as using the 3rd valve, the flow does not stop, but inhibited for a moment until the hyd action is complete.

If you hold the 3rd valve on for to long, the flow will dump over the loader relief valve.

If you use the 3rd valve for a grapple, it is going to be fast, but you could slow it down with 1/4 in hose of use a needle valve on the cyl.

All the b2x20 have pb since they came std with the loader valve installed (except the 2320 narrow). I put together a diverter valve setup installed in the curl circuit on my tractor, grapple speed is fine using 2 2"x8" cylinders. I also have a 2spool rear remote for my t-n-t.
What kind of valve are you planning to install?

That is how most Kubotas are setup. Any additions are "inserted" into the PB circuit after the loader and before the 3-pt. The 3-pt is always last in line.
