In addition to it being a non-issue with the subframe mount, I didn't think draft control was available on the 4 series compacts -only on the 5 utility series and the 6 and up ag series
I'm not really sure what model he has. I DO think I saw a dial (locking dial) on the drivers right side that I thought was for that..... but honestly, don't know. Irrespective of that, seems it doesn't matter for him since his is frame mounted. He's mid 70's and I wouldn't want to have to bring this potential to his (inattentive) attention.... better that it's simply not an issue for him.

But think about this: In order to do its job, auto draft control has to work much more quickly than typical hydraulics. So the force lifting the arms is system pressure PLUS the dynamic force from a rapidly moving slug of fluid triggered by the top link pivot. The lift arms don't just move up, they jerk up. Then the relief valve kicks in and the action repeats.
This addresses my question somewhat. Since it is hydraulics, the 3pt can't move any faster unless you rev the engine up or pump in fluid from a different source. I guess the draft control link is basically a hydraulic cylinder which injects its internal volume of fluid into the main 3pt cylinder.
