Kubota B7100 factory tool kit?

So, on my "new to me" B7100HST-E (circa 1982) there is a cool little compartment that says "Tool Kit" on it. Of course, it was empty when I got it. I've had a couple of motorcycles that had pretty nice compact factory tool kits under the seat, and obviously some thought went into what was included. So, anybody know if there was an original factory tool kit in the B7100, and if so, what was in it?

When I purchase my 95 B7100 there was no tool kit..compartment did offer much length room for standard tools.

I have a 1985 model year where is it supposed to be located? I haven"t seen that compartment on mine. zman:confused2:

I don't know specifically about the B7100, but all of the L series I have seen have a toolbox behind the seat. It is small, but large enough to hold a small handfull of wrenches. I keep the 15 and 17mm in there for my shear bolts and a screwdriver and pair of pliers for fixing bent or twisted pin keepers.

The tool box does not include any tools when new, so I would expect your toolkit would also simply be a holder for your "essential" tools.

On my B7100 it's under the fuel tank and is accessed from the left hand side.

I've owned mine since 1982. Purchased new and with the tool kit. From memory it contains a set of metric wrenches, screw driver, oil filter wrench and I think a lug wrench. I'll take a picture the next time I'm at the farm and post it for you.

Many thanks, B and D, I was sure there had to be someone out there with the original kit! I'd be particularly interested to know what sizes of wrenches were included.

Apologies to BandDcabinet, I had only to step out to the workshop.

After a s/h B6100 and two s/h B5100's, finally got a toolkit with the third B5100.

The open enders are 26/21mm, 22/19, 17/14, 14/12 and 12/10mm.

Box spanners are 22 & 12mm (only one end on each).

09 L2800HST did offer tool box,now they do.

My old B5100 had the tool kit compartment, along with closing cover for it...Was very small, but handy.

Interestingly, the tools bear a sort of familial resemblance to the kit in my 1982 Honda CM450 motorcycle.

09 L2800HST did offer tool box,now they do.

Sorry, am not understanding what you mean. now they do or now they don't? I am reading your statement as the 09 L2800 does have the toolbox attached.

I got a tool kit with my 1993 B7100 and the photo looks right. I keep a light chain in the tool box and stuck the tools on a peg board.

Purchase my L2800HST in 09 tool box wasn't offer,but next year L2800HST models tool box offer.

The only thing I found in the tool box was the nifty little cover that went over the mid PTO when not in use. I packed it full of grease and bolted it on during winter when PTO wasn't needed.

Had a L175DT with FEL and Factory 3PT BH with a set of metric tools, wrenches, and oil filter wrench, screwdriver, and pliers much as other have described. I didnt use these as my own tool set seemed better to "do the job". Of course if restoring to truly original then the tools would "complete" the kit so to speak.

I bought my B7100 new in 1979 and still have it. Didn't have tool kit, but the tool box is fairly large. I have wrenches and pins in there.

Never had nests in there, but I have to keep my hood open when I'm not using it, because the squirrels haul corn and put it on top of the engine.

When I bought my B7100, it had a screwdriver and a combination 10/12 mm open end wrench in the box. The wrench works on the battery, the side panels, and a lot of the other bolts that hold it together. And the bolts are brass? and easily removed with the wrench. I imagine that there originally were other, larger size metric wrenches also.
