This afternoon I had my 1984 b7200hst out idling in the yard. About 10 minutes after being started, the engine sputtered and stalled. When I tried to start it, it started for a second and died. Pulled the fuel filter. That looked fine. Removed it and reinstalled the filter container. Turned the tractor over for about 10 seconds, then removed the container. Hardly any fuel in it. Iām thinking the fuel pump failed. What would be the easiest way to verify this before ordering a new one?
The other question is how do you tow a tractor that doesnāt run? I certainly donāt want to damage the transmission.
Any and all input appreciated.
