Kubota B7300 in bed of full size pickup?

Used to haul cattle that weighed that much or more to market in the back of a 3/4T pickup and they are a live moving load. Dead load like a tractor, use a little common sense on cornering and stopping and you will be fine.

Probably safer than using trailer with no brakes.

I wouldn't trust the tailgate cables on anything for that kind of weight..Loading anyway.

I agree. I would not place any confidence in the tailgate hinges either. They would surely sustain some type of damage. Just a thought. You may not be able to shut your tailgate afterward until you replace the hinges.

At a normal truck loading dock you will need a good sized ramp to meet up with the bed of a typical PU. A truck dock is around 50" while a PU load floor is in the neighborhood of 36", plus it may move considerably when you put that kind of weight on a PU. So really a loading dock would still not make it simple, because they are almost always made for straight trucks and big trailers at standard height. Some docks have lifts for flexibility but it is uncommon to find one as large as this requires.

It sounds like your friend is giving you a pretty fair rate on hauling it. If you have to go there, do work, and bring it back home, I imagine it would be worth the time to look for someone nearby with a trailer you can borrow or rent.

U Haul , Trailer Rental. I have a 3/4 Ton truck but I would not consider due to hcg. Maybe a Dualy.

:laughing: I had a tailgate on my new 1/2 ton truck when I hauled a large garden tractor with a tiller, weights in the front, weights on the rear and chains on. I backed up to a high bank to get it off but still needed 2x12 ramps of some sort because of the angle of the bank. Anyway, everything was wet and as I backed it off the rear slipped off the ramps and dropped a few inches to the ground. Not a problem. I lost the ramps but the front tires of the tractor was still on the tailgate so what do I do? I simply put the brakes on the tractor and put the truck in low gear and stomped on the gas and I shot the truck right from under the tractor. I was fine until I looked at the tailgate. When the tractor dropped off, the front weights and the tractor dropped right in the center of the tailgate. Sure wasn't purdy.:ashamed: Gravity is faster than a chevy.

I have hauled a much much heavier 11' cabover camper thru California, Oregon, Washington, Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Nevada. Talk about a high CG...! An 11' cabover on a 3/4 ton 4x4...!

Piece of soft pudding to haul. Where you will run in to issues is loading/unloading, and tie downs. I would for sure remove the tailgate, as it would not hold that much weight during loading.

My camper was on jacks, and had tie-downs that were added to the truck to secure the camper.
