I agree with a lot of what's been said.
Center of gravity will be high with tractor in the bed. This can cause handling problems with the truck especially on corners.
I doubt the Tie downs in the truck will hold using any kind of binders.
Tailgate may bend and gate cables may break.
My suggestion is borrow a trailer or buy one. A single axle 3000 lb rated trailer would handle your tractor, is reasonably priced and you will always have use for it later.

I agree it raises the CG, and you have to modify your driving habits. But my old campers had a higher CG, and took them over super curvy roads.

I drove more carefully with it, but it was no big deal over thousands of miles both locally and a couple long road trips. I am as cautious towing my tractor, our Scout Troop trailer, or my 5th wheel.
