Hello all,

I have a Kubota B9200HST and recently noticed fluid leaking from the cover over the drum brakes. Upon removal of the cover, it is definately transmission fluid. I'm assuming it to be leaking around the shaft and that a seal needs to be replaced. Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Hi Tom,
I checked this site (click on tractor specs to choose your tractor) to see if your tractor had wet or dry brakes, but it doesn't say. My 2001 B2910 has wet brakes, meaning they are submerged in hyd. oil. Your problem may just be a leaking gasket at the cover, but you'll need to find out which style brakes you have for sure. Your local Kubota dealer should be able to tell you.
Good Luck!!

Your tractor is supposed to be dry brakes. The shaft seal you mention is most likely the culprit. It's not really common but not uncommon.
