Heck, try a jump from an JD STX38! I could pick up the rear end of that little go cart with my bare hands! A 425 is huge compared to that thing. And I skipped the 2200 to the 2230.

I went in progressions from a 19" push mower to a 3-wheel Big Mow to a 10 HP Craftsman to 265 JD and 25 HP Husky POS to the 425. The 425 did feel big compared to the others.

HA! We started out with a brand new push mower from Ernst hardware, more than 20 nyears ago and I just dated myself! Well, me and the wife are still running strong, and so is that mower! In 2000, we bought the 316. You know? Each progression, the wife wanted to make the lawn bigger and bigger. It got to the point where I finally told the wife "NO MORE!" because it was taxing the **** out of the 316. I believe we just might move the lawn perimeters out a bit more now!

Our big increase was necessitated by our move to the country about sixteen years ago where the size of our yard increased about ten fold.

We used the Husky with a 50" deck then 425 with the 54 then decided to cut our mowing time with the 60" 2200.

You guessed it, with the bigger mower, we mowed more; same time on the mower.

Was looking at quotes for getting our BX 2200 shipped and was astounded and depressed at the expense. We actually were going to cancel the tractor and get me a huge soviet era sickle! Then someone recommended a site called U ship, where shippers literally throw themselves at youin the form of bids. Though these bids were surprisingly cheap, we wound up discovering that our local Kubota dealer has a shipper who moves their stuff, so we were able to get a quote from them at $250, shipped right to our place. Outfits like Oak Harbor frieght wanted over $900 and we would have had to pick it up at their facility in Spokane, 60 miles away. Anyway, though we didn't use them, and was amazed at the bids, if ever you guys need some equipment shipped, you might try them out.
