Kubota BX2200 Grass Catcher for 60" deck (RCK60B-22BX) Boot Mounting setup

I recently purchased an almost new Kubota BX Grass Catcher for my BX2200 w/60" deck (RCK60B-22BX).
The grass catcher was previously on a BX1500 w/48" deck so I have some conversion work to perform.
It mounts up fine to the PTO, frame, etc, but the area I am needing to fabricate or purchase some brackets for is mounting the Boot to the larger deck. I can find some okay pics to 54" decks and possibly newer 23BX decks but have yet to see any on the old BX2200 series with the 22BX 60" mid-mount deck.
I have pretty much exhausted my research with the local Kubota dealer and online images, etc. w/o finding exaclty how the Boot should be cut out and most importantly positioning to the deck. I've looked at many whole goods boot kits 3061/3051, etc but they are close, but not close enough.
If anyone has some pics of their actual BX2200-to-RCK60B-22BX setup please help me out. Winter is coming fast here in Wisconsin and fall leaf season seems to be getting skipped over once again.

I found a pdf file of the Operator's & Parts Manual. Page 7 details the size and location of holes that need to be drilled in the deck.

Wild Bill you are awesome!!! This is exactly what I am looking for. In which manual did you find these? I have all my Operator manuals for the deck, tractor and catcher, but dont have the one I need obivisously. Is there any way you could post the other pages I would need? I did purchase the deflector plate that needs to mounted per the page you just posted - that is great - I just wasnt sure were to mount it.
Next, I need to know how the hook/bungee connects and the boot rear deck bracket design and mounting location. I have one for a 48" deck but it possbly could be modified or I could buy the Kubota one too.
Again, thank you for all the help so far. I think I am on the right track to get this thing running before it's too late for fall leaf pickup.

Thank you. I will read through the PDF and will proceed with my project. It looks like I do have the newer version of the grass catcher and newer style BX3061 boot but am mounting to the older stlye 22BX deck. I think I should be able to make it work with my new and old brackets and deflectors. I appreciate the quick replies and all the help. Sometimes forums take forever to get responses (if at all) but this one is working out great at warp speed.
Frequently in the TractorByNet website I just get the green circles while it is trying to load pics, etc. and they never load. Tried on my laptop and smart phone and have a decent internet connection. But most things eventually load.
I will try to post a pic or two when I get this mounted. Thanks again, Al

The boot for my 60 inch deck on the BX2230(should be similar to the BX2200) attaches using a hinged bracket that fits on the grass deflector cover. Not sure if they did a newer design or not.

Mine too. There are forks on that hinged bracket that fit over the sheet metal of the grass deflector and then a wing nut headed bolt that goes in a welded nut on the grass deflector to secure it.

BY the way, I don't know what you have already done but I assume you have the large tubular orange and black hose going from the blower to the boot outlet. Might it save time (but probably cost a bit) to just buy the boot that already fits your deck (part #2 on pp. 26 of the pdf booklet on post #4) as well as the bracket that mates to your grass deflector ??


OOPS ! I just noticed something else: That pdf manual shows a boot that does NOT HAVE the hinged bracket that slides onto the grass deflector at all !! There is discussion of drilling holes and mounting screws. Apparently a newer design than my grass catcher bought around 10 years ago. Oh Dear. I do not like that. The grass and or leaves will at some point clog up under there and that hinged bracket allows me to raise it up, clear the clogs and lower it back for further use. This new design leaves you with no way to clear the clogs other than to pull the big hose loose and reach through the boot, etc. That works I suppose but the hinged rig allows you to be dangerous and clear the clogs without shutting off the machine plus give better overall total access.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I think I saw a bracket similar to what you are describing but not sure.
I also looked at Kubota parts, called various local and national dealers and looked at Kubota Whole Goods assemblies BX3061/51(for 23BX), but since my tractor is 20 years old, most all the parts have been discontinued. I have been looking at all the images I could find online and am going to use the some of the deflectors and parts that came with the 'bagger' which was a 48" on a 2004 BX1500.
I think I will try to use the deflector from the 48" and drill some holes and bolt it underneath the deck and cut out the deck boot to fit my 60" 22BX deck. Working on it now.
If either of you has a pic you can attach to your post that would be appreciated. I will attach one here as I just flipped over my deck(with one hand!!) and am checking out my options. Thought I was going to need the chain hoist but the deck wasnt as heavy as I thought after removing the 20# chute and shaft!

That orange bracket with 48" written on it [in the two pictures] does not exist on my BX2200 with the grass catcher.

The orange bracket, boot, etc. came with the 23BX grass catcher I got from a '04 BX1500 w/48"deck. I also bought a new KUBOTA PARTS gray deflector plate that was listed for the BX2200 60" BX22 deck pictured in this post.
I was just fitting both "deflectors" to see which one I wanted to use with my newer style boot. I think I will probably go with the orange deflector bracket and line up the other secondary deflector mounted within the boot as this hydrid set up as it looks to be the easiest to configure and make work using the newer style mounting pins vs the orig. bungee cord & single horizontal rear pin.
Seems like a lot of messing around, but most of the parts for the 22BX deck are discontinued and unavailable thru Kubota and couldnt find online anywhere. It's taken some time researching online and from manual, plus from the helpful Tractorbynet users. I will be back at the retrofit in a day or two.
