It has nothing to do with the couplings, hoses, or cylinders. With what has been described, it is in the float detent assy. Even if you disconnect the lever linkage from the spool, you will not be able to remove the spool and detent assembly without removing the detent cover screws first. Then the spool and detent can be pulled rearward from the valve block (manifold as you call it).
