In that case, I wish you were a lot closer to me than you are. This is about as smoothly as I can make mine lift, lowering smoothly is no problem. This was taken about 10 minutes ago, 2009 L3400DT.

Heh, that's exactly what 2007 L3400HST is like. When I've got the box blade AND added weight on the blade it's like riding a bucking bronco when you lift up. I should post a vid too.
And that little knob under the front of the seat don't do squat for the issue. I've turned that sucker every way from Sunday just hoping.
What really sucks is the only reason I bought a tractor to begin with was to maintain a 2200ft gravel driveway. And it's difficult at best to do it with this 3pt hitch.
But I was a total tractor noob when I purchased. Had never heard of TBN etc so I assumed that was what they did.

That's what we are trying to find out...

Anyone have a newer part manual that can see if there are any changes? and if there are, at what serial number? These below are much older...

A quick look at my 4240 doesn't look like your pictures. I could try to take a picture but it's not easy to see. It has a shaft coming out the side and mounts to the rear housing using 6 or 8 bolts. It's the entire with of the rear housing. In front of the shaft is where one of the two hydraulic hoses comes out, the other is the same location but opposite side.
