Re: Trucks w/ air brakes have low air pressure alarms.

Kioti 35 has a low coolant light, so I assume Kabota does also?
This worked after the dealer installed a heater and the air worked out of the line and I added a quart. bcs

I think there should be a "troll alert" icon to use when we start to wonder about a post or poster. Mr. Fallingrock has sure managed to instigate a lot of keystrokes with his indictment of Kubota.

Does anyone remember llknowlesll? How about "tractortime" and "winger"? None of these 4 have any bio data.

Yeah, Bill, it does kind of make you wonder since that one message is all he's posted. Don't know whether it was a legitimate deal or not.

Post and run. It did get everyone worked up though! I guarantee you that Kubota would cover the warranty if what had he said been legitimate (even though he couldn't be very smart if he didn't know he had a coolant leak). Put thread to bed. Not worth it.

One of the easier ways to do it is to thread a T fitting into the block (using oil pressure as an example), then thread the original pressure sender into one side of the T, and a new low oil pressure sender (switch type) to the other side. Wire the new sender to one side of a lamp, buzzer, or both. Connect the other side to switched +12 volts.

Presto, a low oil pressure alarm.

Temperature alarms can be done in a similar manner, except you have to make sure both senders are immersed in coolant at all times. I had this setup on my boat for years. Never had a problem with it.

RaT,

Alls I know is when I was dealing on a Kubota, the dealer told me "Bumper to Bumper" But then that dealer pretty much sucked. It was because of him that I bought blue instead of orange. Now don't get me wrong, there is New Holland dealers out there just the same.

The fact still remains, the tractor is only 7 months old and the clamp that every one is talking about should not have fallen off, came loose or what ever it did. If the operator hit something with it I am sure he would have noticed it. We don't know if the gauges made him aware there was a problem or not. Iregardless, as owner of a company and something goes wrong on that new of a product even though we feel it is abused by the customer we fix it. We don't need anyone bad mouthing our products or our service and this is exactly what is happening here. The original poster on this topic, if I remember right it was his first post. It reminds me back in 1998 I bought 3 one ton cargo vans from the local chevy dealer. Yep bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years. Yeah right, all three vans by the time they hit 5000 miles the brakes went out on them. Each one of them ran over $800 to repair. I had to pay it, why because I drove the vans on gravel roads. That was their excuse, brakes are not covered under the "Bumper to Bumper" Warranty. Buy the way, the vans have never seen a gravel road. The vans were used for commercial refrigeration service work. Well guess what, we don't buy from that dealer anymore and one someone mentions chevy around the shop we think twice about buying one.

And I know Kubota is better than that, I firmly believe the dealer is the one that needs to make this work. I firmly believe that everyone here, even if them gauges did alarm out we all had just as good of a chance to miss them as much as anyone else here. Just put your feet in this guys shoes and you would immediately feel the same.

Another thing is when we buy a new tractor we watch things at first and with time we tend to not watch so much and as things get older we watch more.

Not bashing anyone or any product, I just feel someone has to come to the plate here for this guy.

Why do you feel you have "to come to the plate" for this man when he is a 1st time poster and has not responded to any of the questions? Until he comes back (if he does), this is a wasted topic.

Ok, your all right. I guess I did not realise that he has not been back, I probably should have read all of the posts before replying. I just figured because people were still posting that it was still alive. Your right, this guy may have started something.

But I was able to vent some /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I'm not sure that is true. But what if...he'd hit something and decided to "tough it out"?

But I think that the consensus is that this was just flamebait and we should stop worrying about it...
