The Bobcat S185 I have been using again this week has a 56hp turbo Kubota engine in it. It has some serious work power.
So much work power, and so many attachments, I wonder if they might be more useful than a CUT. It is amazing the implements they have. Even rotary mowers... A mid-sized Bobcat with a smooth bucket, tooth bucket, and a rotary mower could do anything most CUT's can do around my property. And, get this, they rent attachment, lots of them. I have not found anyone around here that rents 3pt attachments...
I used to volunteer fire fight. The new engine at the station had a mounted skid pump for wildland pump and roll operations. The skid pump had a Kubota engine.
Anyways, yes, Kubota makes some good engines...
