What is a fl60?

My guess is either a tiller or flail?

I would think that "FL" would stand for flail as in flail mower and 60 would mean it is 60" (5') working width.

Hello Eric,

If its a three hundred dollar 5 foot flailmower
its either one Hades of flailmower bargain or
it may have a few problems, chances are they may
just wish to get rid of it and its in good shape.

Saying that; the Kubota flail mower werre made
by LandPride at one time and parts will be easy
to get for it.

lists of what to examine on a used flail mower
that is for sale.

Yes that is a sixty inch flail mower for sure.

It would be worth checking on as it looks
ok from the picture.

Spinning the rotor by hand will tell you a lot
quickly for sure.

Should I get the seller to hook up and run?

So bearings, belt, gearbox, vibration and missing knives

Will b running behind a Kubota b2920

Hello Eric,

Yes you should have the owner hook it up and run it,
but you need to find out if there are any missing knives
and replace them or remove the opposing knives on the
flail mower rotor to maintain a balanced flail mower rotor
in order to run the flail mower at the full 540 R.P.M.
