KUBOTA G5200
I have a kubota g5200 garden tractor that I would like to get a deck back under. Im good at fabricating. I love this little tractor.
I was wondering if anyone has a kubota mid pto 60 inch deck on there tractor and could help me out if you would please. I was wondering the rotation of the pto shaft on the deck. I was wondering if on some of the decks where the gearbox points to the back could be spun to the front and keep the proper rotation.
Any help would be greatful. Thanks a million

Okay that's great news! I was hoping the rotation was the same. It's hard to find a good rc48g deck to go under the g5200. I figure I would just find another model deck and make it fit as far as brackets. Not sure about the pto shaft yet. It's also impossible to find any pics of attachment points.

How do you like the g5200? Does it cut good? It seems like the little tractor would be a beast as a mower.

Thank you so much for the reply!

I don't mow with it often, I use my BX2380 the most. I still have it because it looks like new yet. Phone Pics 006 (5).jpgPhone pics 086.jpg

Oh yeah! Definitely a keeper. Looks like its sitting on the showroom floor.

Thanks. I do take pride in my equipment. I like to mow with it now and then, cuts great, very comfortable to use. I did take the slack out of the steering system, makes it much nicer to use. It is a working museum piece, kind of.

I really like where the battery is placed. Makes it to where the radiator can breath better. Never thought of putting it there.

I hope to restore my kubota to that level someday. It's in a hundred different pieces cause I'm taking it apart to restore. It was at my dad's sitting under a carport for the last 5 years. Put new diesel in it and it started back up.

I put the battery there after replacing the original equipment style battery too many times, I put a group 24P out front and that was the end of my battery problems. It was good ballast when I used my fully mounted sprayer on the back. Shortly after I bought it in 1993 I put the hydraulic deck lift kit on it and bought a bagger for it also. The 44" deck in heavy grass and the bagger, made it snort a bit. I bought a BX2200 to mow with in 2002, nice machine, but the G5200 was more comfortable to drive. As you can see in the picture, I kinda like Kubotas.

I have a G6200 which is 2 hp bigger with a 48" deck, I think a 60" deck would be cumbersome, and probably taxing the engine in certain grass.

It might drag it down a little now that you say that. I need to do some more research on around as close if not dead on to 48 inch cut. You can find tons of the 60 inch decks.

What model decks are there for the 48 inch decks?
