If you dislike your dealer (hate isn't in my vocabulary), then why don't you buy OEM coatings from TractorSmart. They are an advertiser here. I've gotten filters from them. Good service delivered right to your door, and competitive prices.

If you need a root canal, well, I am an amature dentist. I have a pair of channellock's that will do the job /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

OEM paint at my dealer isn't $4, it's over $8 a can. I use the chevy orange.
Works great for me. Someone once said "A penny saved is a penny earned." Lincoln I believe. I always use this motto.

A penny saved... is from Ben Franklin who also said "Beer is proof that God wants us to be happy". I like Ben Franklin.
Buy paint from a dealer, any dealer.

All the best,
Martin

Your dealer must dislike you too. Last time I bought a can of ROPS Grey it was $4.28 and that was last year.

Again, I always support my dealer as much as I can. Many threads have been discussed here about dealers and their profits, but the bottom line is that a dealer supports the community through jobs provided to his/her employees. Dealers as a rule make their profit on the sale of acessories after the initial sale.

If anyone here can afford the luxury, and I say luxury not necessity of a CUT, then those folks should have the wherewithall to spend a few extra dollars buying from their dealer. If not, maybe those folks should rethink their priorities

I've been into two (2) different Kubota Dealers who don't even know me (therefore they would have no reason to "dislike" me), and the price of a spray can of Kubota Orange II or Kubota Grey was $8 and change. I'm sorry, but Quality spray paints like rustoleum, krylon, dupli-color, etc. are less than half that price, so if I can find a good match that is the way I will go. By the way, Dupli-color chevy engine orange at Walmart is under $4 a can, and a perfect match.

If you argument has any merit then no one would try for a better deal and would always pay list price. Phoooeee on that. Walmart employs thousands of folks. Their milk here is 3.39 a gallon. Phooeee on that also. Braum's has it for 2.89 a gallon. I'm sorry 5030 but your theroy is plum full of holes. always try to get the best deal on Quality merchandise. It's the AMERICAN way. Also phooeee on china junk.

I bought a spray can of ROPS gray from the dealer in Montpelier, VT and it was over $10. I won't need it too often so I feel it's worth it not to have to chase around trying to get a match.

My dealer soes not support me, so why the **** should I line his crooked pocket. I had to go over the dealers head just to get warranty work done and call Kubota direct. He said warranty work does not pay well and told me there was nothing wrong with it. We are all familiar with the L2800/3400 lift jerkiness, everyone got their's fixed, I had to jump through hoops and pull teeth. Anyone who defends my dealer obviously did not hear him say that the info I got from you guys is all BS and not to believe anything you read on the net. He said he was the dealer and had far superior knowledge than you guys. Now defend my dealer! He says you guys are stupid, and you want me to give him money? I hope this puts a new perspective on things. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I wouldn't support a dealer that didn't support me either, but, he isn't the only place you can get Kubota paint, right? If you want the paint to match, pay a little extra and get the real stuff. If you want it to sorta match, shop around for a bargain and experiment....which might end up costing more. If you don't care at all what it looks like you can get a can of primer for $1.99 or just use whatever you have in the garage.
