Insurance Kubota insurance

I have a question for you guys. The wife and I were recently using our ~6 month old B3200 cleaning up after clearing some trees on our property. We had a trailer load of limbs to haul away (burning restrictions were still in place) so we just shut the tractor down and left it "out back". Well to make the story short the Kubota was left outside overnight (I know I should have tucked it in) and we had a bit of a wind storm come up. Nothing too violent but a top did break out of a tree (ponderosa pine) and came down. Yes it hit the B3200! The damage wasn't too bad -- there is a dent in the top of the hood just forward of the hinge and another dent in the cowling jsut behind the hood. We both felt bad (especially the wife as she had been running the tractor while I was loading the bucket and she had parked it). We figured we would jsut have a tractor with a couple of dents from that point on.

Would this be covered under the Kubota Insurance?

Give you my first hand experience with kubota insurance. While demo'ing a old ran down house for a friend I accidentally pulled a small piece of the roof down on top of the backhoe damaging the spool valve in the b/h controls. I replaced the spool valve at a crazy cost of $450.00 it was better but the lever was still very stiff. I took the tractor to my local dealer and contacted the insurance co.
They took care of the problem promptly and even tried to reimburse me for the money I spent trying to fix it myself.
Cant say enough good things about them..

2*This is incorrect .
Federal law clearly forbids any finance company to dictate to any borrower what insurer they must insure with.
The buyer always has the right to choose his own insurer NO EXCEPTIONS.
This law has been on the books for 30 or 35 years.
Some how you must have been misinformed.
Either that or you reside outside the USA.

Correct on your #2 but many insurance comps up here in my world will NOT a $20,000 "lawn tractor" on your house policy. They did years ago, but not now.

I also never stated I was forced etc. Find me a level priced house insurance that will cover it.

Actually, we "beat" K insurance, with Inland Marine rider through Hastings Mutual. Granted, only by a few bucks, yes, essentially level pricing. I have my doubts whether they would be as easy as Kubota seems to be with the people reporting here. Who knows.

Please cut and paste the language in your policy that suggests there is a limit on the dollars allowed for a "motorized land conveyance used to service the property." That will be the language, and I'll be floored if you can find a dollar limit. The vast majority of policies sold are written by national organizations and have very few differences state to state. Not saying yours doesn't, I've never read yours, but I'll be really, really surprised if its there.

I do not need too. I know what I was told via a phone call and snail mail. The point is, since you missed it they will not insure a 20K "lawn mower". With wallstreet going Chap 11, nothing new here....

How about my scenario... I just bought two tractors, and a bunch of implements. Total cost was around $50,000. I'm financing both for 48mos. with $0 down and 0%. My quote, which included 2-FELs, 1-BH, tiller, blades, PH auger,... was $38/mo. for the 48 months...or $1,837. for the term.

Seems a bit high to me...does it to anyone else? But here is my question. If I start off with it, and want to change to another provider later...can I drop it and readjust my monthly payment without hassle? Or would it make sense to opt out of Kubota insurance up front, and call in and add it "on top of" my financing? I'm just thinking that it may be difficult to drop Kubota insurance once I'm in to the payment cycle....

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

I would definitely add it to your financing since it is at 0% and you will your insurance will be locked in for the full term (never have to worry about an increase in rate). The other benefit is the deductible is only $250 and you can have multiple claims without the risk of your insurance rate going up like a home policy. I used their money (0%) to finance the insurance. Skip

Kubota Insurance should be $50.00 One time Fee and then .80 per $1000.00 per month + or -.

I would recommend Kubota Insurance
Great Coverage
