Comparison Kubota L3200 vs. John Deere 3032E

   / Kubota L3200 vs. John Deere 3032E #21
Well, since you took offense to my post, and I see you don't have the Kubota model listed in your ownership, I guess you're one of the people I'm talking about. I only add my thoughts when I have first hand knowledge of the subject, so as not to confuse the issue at hand with so much computer "noise." Hence, I don't post in the JD area about their problems with aluminum transaxles, don't post in the Kioti forum about their twisted loaders, etc., because I have no knowledge of the subject.
It's hard enough for people to get reliable information on the internet. One must seperate the wheat from the chaff, and folks must wade through tons of chaff to find one tiny kernel of wheat, so, I post when I think I can be of help with factual information from my point of view. It's up to an individual to ascertain if it's of any value or not. It all adds up to the internet's very poor signal/noise ratio, and I don't wish to add to the clutter. As for you anology, I don't think it applies, because forward or reverse, all the controls in my truck are in the same place. But, I much prefer forward to reverse, particularly if I'm traveling long distances on the highway at high speeds.

I didn't take offense, but I think it's unfair for you to point us out. In my first post I said that the L3200 is a much better equipped, nicer tractor than the 3032e and it's a good thing he choose it (actually the 3400). I only mentioned that he know what the jerky 3ph is so he doesn't end up having the thing 6 months to a year from now and realizing that he can't live with it. Some people don't have the problem at all, some can live with it, but I'd only be upset if I didn't know. I guess I didn't realize that this 3ph stuff was only a rumor, seemed to me like a lot of people experienced it.

Talk to me some time about the Jerky 3pt hitch. while not a deal breaker, you can live with it, and not all seem to have it, In fact I got a call from Kubota Corporate about a week ago..about this.. seems it finally got back to Corporate.. Too late for them to do anything about it though.. I am a Kioti owner now. The original dealer was not interested in helping, another dealer was, but would need about $600 for a new valve from a grand L. to fix it.. The regional rep was not interested in helping (even while it was still under warranty). Oh well, water under the bridge...If you want to test for jerky hitch syndrome. You will need an implement on the 3pt and run the tractor at any speed you want from idle to full throttle. (a little worse at full throttle) and try to move the position control slowly upwards.. There has never been any problem lowering the 3pt for anyone.. that is as smooth as silk and can be adjusted as pointed out with the lowering drop speed control to suit. But in a lot of L2800, L3200, L3400, L3800 and a few L4400 and supposedly even in some L4600 it can be "jerky" going up.. Example slowly pulling a motor out of a car with a boom pole.. Impossible with my previous tractor and some others. Or grading with a box blade and needing to raise the blade slowly say 1/2 inch.. isn't gonna happen unless you raise past where you want to be, and then slowly feather down.. If you overshoot on the way down.. then jerk it up and try again for the down position you want..Here see for yourself. This is no BS, this is the way some of them are, including the one I owned, and it isn't easily fixed.

Other than the hitch, the Standard L series are a great value for the money. Strong, Dependable, Never had a moments trouble with mine. And if you get one that the hitch is not jerky on, (as many on here say they have), or it does not bother you at all in what work you do. then cool.

Just in case you haven't noticed it, rumors take on a life of their own and often become "fact" on the internet. If enough people with no knowledge of a subject repeat something enough times, people believe it whether it's true or not. I never owned one of the new L series, so I cannot personally comment, but enough dealers I trust call it a non-issue, and just so much internet BS. So, rather than take the wind out of the sails of a guy who just bought one, I keep my mouth shut, because to me it's just heresay, otherwise known as internet "white noise."

Heck some of these guys even made a video on it on u-tube. It aint mine so I really don't care but new people should be aware of it. You think?

Yes... Thanks so much for helping us poor Kubota owners, who don't know s**t from shinola, out. This post from you was incredibly helpful..

I just remembered another advantage in the Kubota, I knew there were so many that I probably wouldn't remember them all when I posted. The JD3032E does NOT come with a drawbar, and the Kubota does. Many of the things I mention above can be had with the JD, but they are options, which add to the cost. Also, it appears I stirred up a hornets nest about the jerky 3ph, actually since I adjusted mine to lower slower, it is not an issue with me, raising the hitch slowly or a little at a time, has not been a problem for me. Thanks for the comments!
