Got to get the 'boss' to loosen the purse strings for that kind of jump.

You may want to consider widening the stance of the rear tires (assuming they may be at the narrowest setting) before switching out the tires. You can do this with R1's by adjusting the rims. I did this with my L3901 and it made a huge difference in the "pucker" factor when on slopes. I gained an additional 7 inches in the rear width footprint.
I was looking at that, will go out this morning and see how that works.

Well imo you can do it will it be hard on the tractor and slow going, yes I cleared a couple acres on a hill with my old L2850 the three point BH made it work for me plus added 1500 lbs of weight to the tractor. When everything was to a point I was happy with i definitely felt a sense of accomplishment. Unfortunately I ended up rebuilding the front axle on it, new seals, bearings, and a bevel gear. I waited five years to finish the rest of the acres after I got my skid steer which ended up doing the same amount of work in a fraction of the time and no breakdowns. Good luck.
Well here is the auction price on a used wheel loader I was looking at... 2017 John Deere 624K-II Articulating Wheel Loader | Heavy Construction Equipment Loaders Wheel Loaders | Online Auctions | Proxibid
would have to break the piggy bank for that one...

Your 3301 is similar in specs to my L2850 so I told you what I was able to do with it. Im unsure where a articulating wheel loader is involved? I have a 326e skid steer with steel tracks over tires with the correct attachments a larger skid steer can do a lot more work in terms of clearing land compared to a cut.

Can I get adjustable rims for R4 on a L3301?
No.

You can add rear wheel spacers, which are not the same thing.
Two wheel spacers + two rear R4/industrial tires + two R4 size rims =$1,200 minimum.

Spread your existing R1 wheels/tires.

Checking with my dealer to see if can get a deal on new R4 with rims, if not may have to break down and spread the R1, but they seem weak on traction in heavy use and leave terrible ruts.

This post reminds me of an experience I had years ago I acquired something that was underpowered, under weight No matter what I did in terms of additional addons and upgrades it was still the wrong thing for any jobs I needed to do with it, so I finally cut my losses got rid of it and acquired something I could use. best thing I did and wish I did it from the get go. On the flip side I also acquired stuff that was to big and uncapable of doing smaller jobs without a lot of collateral damage. Good Luck

R1s should not leave terrible ruts unless you are working wet soil.

Are you?

R4s will have LESS TRACTION than R1/ag tires.

The R4 tire are not very good on soft ground. If you have any type of mud or swampy land the R4s will load up and become slicks. Save your money for other tools. You are going to tear up the ground with either tire. R14 tires might be a good compromise between R1 and R14. However there is still going to be places that need to be smoothed up.

If you are just clearing the land to form fire breaks hire someone with a skid steer and a mulcher. Then the L3301 will be very good at keeping things mowed down.
