Kubota L3430 w/ Cab

Jerry -- Funny, but the new location of the fuel filler is one feature I didn't like at all. When refueling my L3010, I rest the 6 gallon container on the crosspiece for the FEL (no sense holding all that weight in the air!), tuck the spout into the filler neck, then remove the can's vent cap. I like the way the filler lid goes forward completely out of the way. The new location seems awkward to me, but then again my method only works because of the FEL.

I'd be interested in hearing the refueling method you settle on after doing it a few times.

it will take you two hours to remove all the extra stickers[part marks, non critical saftey, dealer stickers]ect.look for loose bolts too.

Rockdog, I don't usually get jealous looking at pictures of fellow TBNer's tractors. I do envy that cab, that is awesome! Good luck getting any sleep, I know I wouldn't be sleeping well until it was on my property.

Rockdog,

Nice looking tractor. That cab is really sharp.

Thanks for the pics. I have to stop typing now, there's drool all over the keyboard./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Boondox(Pete),
I know the trick on resting the can on the crossbar of the FEL, But I usually use a funnel on my B2710 - seems awkward for me. The ultimate answer I think is to get a plastic drum and a hand crank. Another thought I, and probably many others have had is to get a convient size plastic drum(i.e. 15 gal.) and some how raise it in the FEL and use some sort of hose with a handy shut off valve near the end. Raise the bucket and have it gravity fed. What do you think? Thanks everyone else for your nice comments. I will post more pictures when the loader is on. If there are any certain photos you want posted, just let me know.

Whata' say Deere are you up to the challenge??? (TB) - How about putting some of the goodies in the 8000-9000 series in the 4000-5000 systems - maybe add a camera - 6 Disc CD player - GPS - training seat. A better Tilt and recess steering wheel - Communications - Lots of mirrors - Lites and of course a Cab for the 43x0 series.

Is that a CD player with the am/fm radio? Can't tell for sure. Please post close up shots of the switches. That is one beautiful machine!

Jerry -- Ouch! Didn't mean to hurt your feelings and I apologize if you took it that way! /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif It's just that we have so much snow/sleet/rain falling here I always refuel inside the garage. So your FEL method (which really sounds like an interesting way of saving your back!) wouldn't work for me.

Like all of us who have bought new tractors, you'll fiddle with different options before you finally settle on a method that works for you. When you settle, share the info. That's how I (and probably others here) learn. Thanks!

Pete

PS: As I said before, you have a sweet setup! When I sat on one in the farm show it was like my L3010 with all the rough edges smoothed out.
