Kubota L3430 want to trade R1’s for turfs or R4’s

I have a 2005 Kubota L3430 I’m picking up this week but prefer to run turf tires or R4’s and not the R1’s that are on it. The tractor has only 660 hours so tires are in incredible condition. Located in Marquette, Michigan. My pics are too big to upload.

you will more than likely have to get rims to, R1 rims are taller and narrower than R4 and turfs , You might find someone willing to trade.

I could’ve specified a little better I guess. I’d prefer to swap tires/rims for tires/rims. I realize it’s a long shot but never know unless you ask…

You might specify the tire size too, in case other Kubota models use the same wheels/tires.

FYI……My tires are the Ag(R1) type. Front are 7.2-16 and rears are 12.4-24.

If I didn't add this earlier, prepare for a stiff ride with your proposed changes and don't think turfs are comfie......quite the contrary. I bought a set of 12x16.5 4 ply turfs from Carlisle and they would hold the rear of my M2 25s rear without any air.....to my dismay I expected turfs to ride comfy....why I don't know, just did. $600 blunder.

I’m confused. The ride on R1’s is horrible.
I just came off a NH 4835 that had turfs it for its whole life. Tons of field, road and turf driving. Owned it from new. Sold the house and tractor but had a JD 4720 that I bought for the new house A few years back. Smaller frame but same power and that ride was as I mentioned horrible. Tires were dry rotted when I bought it. I just put a full set of Nokia’s TRI 2’s in late spring and the ride is every bit as smooth as the turfs if not nicer.
Just my direct experience running all 3 tires within a few months of each other.

As for the OP. I was lucky my tire size on the TRI’s was no problem going on the R1 rims. I was ready to buy rims with the new tires. Of course the price of tires went insane but that’s another story.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Still searching for different tires. There’s a guy with an L4240 who’s getting ready to sell his turfs. I do t know if they’ll fit my L3430. I’m sure they’ll fit, but not sure if the small difference in sizes will cause front end issues. The R1 tire on pavement is brutal. I don’t think there’s anything worse. I had R4’s on my last 3430 and didn’t think they were that bad on pavement. Just my opinion.

Did you find any tires and rims to swap yet?

If your R-1s would fit my L5030 I would swap you my R-4s. But they don’t appear to be the right size.

Mine should have:

Kubota L5030 Tires
Ag front:	9.5-16
Ag rear:	14.9-26
