Price Check Kubota L3560 Open Station

Not sure where you are getting the 5HP difference. The Kubota with HST is 28HP and the JD is 30HP PTO. They are both 37HP gross engines. Plus the Kubota is about 1,000lbs bigger than the JD.

TractorData.com John Deere 238R tractor information

TractorData.com Kubota L356 tractor information

Should have looked it up instead of relying upon my memory.

The 3560 HST is 28 PTO HP, whereas the 2038R is 30.4 PTO HP, so the difference is 2.4 advertised PTO HP.

Both specs from brochures which I have in my hand. Never rely on tractordata.com.

Barlows kubota in somerset ky. Best prices around. I bought my L3940 from them, I’m in MD.
Wished I had gone to the L4240 for the bigger loader, so I could unload a ton pallet from my truck.

Interesting...especially considering I'm like an hour from Somerset. I'll give them a call and see what kind of price they can get me, if they can get me one quickly. The dealer I'm talking to (basically halfway between my house and Somerset) should have a L3560 they went to get for me, and hopefully working to get it put together. I haven't signed or paid for anything, but I'd hate to back out on them. But, I'm loyal to my wallet...if I can save a grand, I probably will.

Thanks!

Barlows is well known on TBN. Been a few yrs since I bought mine, but they saved me about $2k on my last one including their shipping, delivered to me on their truck. They sell all the way to Maine.

Just got off the phone with them, good to talk to. However, they're maybe 30 minutes from the other dealer I'm talking to (Lawson out of Danville/Junction City), and he echoed a lot of the same things Lawson did about the Grand L. Not as many discounts/rebates as the L01's, and an open cab Grand L isn't all that common. NO dealers in KY had one he said, and said he couldn't get one in before the end of year direct from Kubota (and the 0/.99/1.99 financing rates expire end of year). Also said that if I had Lawson already go get a L3560 for me, he definitely wouldn't be willing to compete against them (which is admirable). He did quote me a price for a L3560 open station, HST, R4, LA805, 66" bucket...$27,400. $26,800 is what I'm getting a L3560 for with the LA555, so I think I'm getting a good price after all. But, it was good to call and talk to another dealer to confirm.

Anyway, I'm very excited to move forward with getting my L3560, and if Lawson Tractor can get this one uncrated and assembled soon, hopefully I can take delivery of it within the next week! :)

If you have any interest now or possibly in the future for a mid PTO, make certain the tractor is equipped with the internal gear to drive the mid PTO.

Reasoning...

Two kit components are needed for the mid PTO to be operational. 1) The internal gear and 2) the mid PTO. The mid PTO can be added at any time and outside of draining the hydraulic fluid is a very simple job that can be done by most. The internal gear on the other hand cannot be added easily. It requires splitting the tractor and other disassembly to do so. Maybe a 12 hour job or more. This can be averted by having it installed from the factory for very minimal cost (<$200).

I'd do everything possible to get into the bigger loader. You'll appreciate the extra capacity as time goes on and implements are added (Grapple, forks, etc...).

YES! There are things that can be added later (like a third function, or other attachments) after the purchase and there are things you just need to do up front (like what’s mentioned above). Definitely go with the 805 loader.
