Oil & Fuel kubota M7500DT replacing inner front pto shaft seal

Kubota M7500DT - need to replace the inner front PTO shaft seal. Have split the tractor, but wondering if I need to take the transmission out as well to remove or can I access it still in the tractor ?

I just now read your March 5 post about the pto clutch. Looking at the attached parts diagram from the factory website, seal #24 is accessible by removing #23 with the trans still assembled and attached to the rear housings of the tractor. But replacing the inner seal #30 is more involved. A M7500 workshop manual would show how far apart the trans needs to be to replace #30. Maybe someone will chime in who has the WSM or actual experience with this transmission.

Before doing a major disassembly of the tractor I'd be tempted to pack some greased cotton string into the annular space between the pto shaft and the inside of shaft #1. Trans oil isn't under pressure and it might be simple to stop most of the leak. Good luck. Dick B
