Nice work Farm Boy, the switches look factory. Nice placement.
Thanks, that was the intention. Took some work to find the right ones.
I thought of mounting my lights low like yours, my concerns
I wear glasses, any glare/reflections with lights at eye level behind your head?
When turning to look rearward don't they shine in your eyes?
I see you have a little bit of shielding ,was that enough?
I also wear glasses. The shielding was needed for two reasons.
When I first mounted the lights, I didn't have the shielding and couldn't even use the front light. It would reflect off my glasses while driving forward and obviously blind me when I turned to look backwards as I was looking straight into it. I knew I'd need the shield before I mounted them but needed them mounted to figure out the size of the shield. It's about 4" wide and covers from about the 10 o'clock position to the 4 o'clock position, held on with a stainless hose clamp. Another 1/2" of coverage would have been good but works well enough as is. I made it thru all last winter's snow removal with it like this. I'll probably play with it a bit when I get around to mounting the other pair of lights on the other ROPS post.
With the hyd valve also now mounted, I can raise the valve another 1.5 - 2" which I plan to do
