Kubota Pallet Forks

What are you looking to lift with them? LBrown59 made some very lightweight forks out of lumber. Probably couldn't lift more than a couple of hundred pounds, but may just do the trick.

Jeff,

Try the local forklift dealer. I picked up a 16 in carriage and two forks for $160.00.
I then welded brackets on the back to fit my Power-Trac. I cut a hole in the tip on one fork and installed a 2 in ball for moving trailers.

2 questions what lenght of forks?? and has anyone ever put a sideshift carriage on a loader and welded a quick plate to it??

Thanks again to all for the ideas. The Kubota dealer said that Kubota raised the price on the forks for 2009, so they'd be around $850. This still sounds high, so I think I'll keep an eye out for a better deal elsewhere.

I am with the make your own crowd. I talked to the local Cat lift truck dealer told them what I had in mind. They salvaged the parts I needed over a couple of months and sold to me at scrap price. I then assembled my own. These are on a Deere loader but you can buy mounting plates for your tractor for around $100.00 and mount the parts to it. I wish they were wider but for $50.00 I can't complain.

Dan

I purchased a side-shift carriage from a forklift place, but I am only using the part that holds the forks. I just welded brackets to the back to fit my Power-Trac. My forks are 36 in, but you can make some extenders out of 6 in channel.

I give $525 for a nice set of medium duty Skid Steer QA forks from a local implement dealer off of his yard. I think they had been setting for a while and he wanted to move them. US made and rated for 3600# and 42" width way more than my loader will lift. Look around at the off brand smaller lots and you may find it a lot cheaper.

My understanding is that the Kubota Loader (LA854) Quick-Attach is compatible with standard "skid steer" implements.

If this is true, are the Kubota forks typically a good deal, or can I get a better deal elsewhere (or maybe buy kubota or non-kubota used?) The kubota forks plus frame list for $1085.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have three sets of Skidsteer QA forks, but you are not close enough to avoid the high cost on shipping.

J_J How much are you asking for your forks?
Thanks
