Kubota parts and supplies are RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE

Try pricing out New Holland or Deere parts. You will be thankful you have a Kubota. And they still sell parts for 30 year old tractors.

PS. My last tractor was NH and Im speaking from experience

Parts for cars are also ridiculously expensive. A truck reversed into my car, damaging the front end. Both headlights needed to be replaced. They cost $1,500 each! It was an insurance claim, so the claim had to be approved by the insurer's assessor, so it wan't just a case of someone ripping off an ignorant member of the public (me).

The car cost me around $30K brand new, which means the two headlights, as parts, are worth about 10% of the price of the car. It's insane!

If you financed it it may be covered by KTAC. Not sure if your damage would be covered but others have said theirs was.

I thought about that. Problem is I have a $250 deductible.

You run that broken fan and I値l bet you値l be quoting a radiator sooner than you壇 like.

TBone, if you run your tractor with that broken fan blade, it will be overheating very quickly. Better replace the fan before you have to spend a lot more to fix the engine.

Does a Kubota L-2501 have a heat gauge?

Yep. The latch broke on my "Kubota" tool box - the little plastic one behind the seat. I checked and a replacement was $80 !!!
That's just plain ridiculous. I went to Lowes and bought a bigger Kobalt box that fits perfectly - $7. Seven Dollars. 7.

Shop Kobalt 17-in Plastic Tool Box (Blue) at Lowes.com

The only problem is the Blue Kobalt box sticks out like a sore thumb on the Orange Kubota. Makes me want to go buy a New Holland.
Rediculous price for that Kubota tool box is right! That box came mounted on the left rear fender of my new L5060 but also has another mount in place for it behind the tractor seat.

I purchased the same Kolbalt tool box you did and mounted it behind the seat as well. Great extra storage for a couple of wrenches, hitch pins, etc. The Kolbalt blue color doesn't bother me in the least bit. $10 verses $80 makes me smile. Ten dollars is what I paid for mine a few months ago.

Parts in general are outrageous. Go price something green or yellow.

Bingo, 4570.

It's not Kubota. JD, NH, etc., replacements are expensive.

Those of use with engineering and marketing experience realize that one is paying for convenience when one buys things one at a time.

Folks would complain much more if the parts were not available.

Interesting how the price of parts can be relative to what you have. My 1988 Case dozer's fan broke off and destroyed the shroud. It was $1,900 for the parts that where used from a salvage yard. Case no longer makes or carries parts for their older equipment. I have three hydraulic filters that cost $180 each from Case, but I can get them on Amazon for half that. It has a total of 7 filters that cost me about $300 to replace.

I bit the bullet today and ordered a new fan from Messicks. Saved $20 but I still think that was too high for a little piece of plastic. Oh well, I could be buying a radiator and I'm sure that would be a little more.

All a person can do is "grin and bear it" when purchasing O.E.M. parts, doesn't matter what manufacturer it is. :confused3:

I would like to deal with Messicks, but the shipping costs negates any savings there may have been.
Now, if I lived closer......................;)
