Kubota parts and supplies are RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE

I live in Canada and I buy parts for my Zetor in Chech republic ( Europe ) Even with transport and customs it is cheaper than buying in Canada.
2 new fuel filters $4.50 4 fuel lines $15.00 Clutch plate $40.00 Air filter $15.00 radiator cap $3.00 air seat membrane $10.00 small stuff is only pennies.
And the Chech have their mark up too! Takes 14 days after the order is placed to deliver at home.

That may be the answer we are all looking for.
Does anyone know details for ordering Kubota parts directly from Japan?

Rule of thumb on replacement parts for pricing, brand new might be high. Ten years old will not be so high. At twenty years there are only a few brands that will have them if they are slow movers. On filters, never seen a replacement filter built the same as the manufacturer!!! We have cut many open and it just doesn't happen! Many lower priced filters don't have anti-drainback feature of original makes so the first thing you have to do is refill the filter while starving the engine!!!!! With some brands we have actually seen discontinued parts while the tractors still had warrantee left!

There is a very good reason your Kubota filters are more expensive! (Wix makes Napa filters)

One alternative solution could be to balance the blade.

Add the equivalent missing to the broken side or remove from the opposite side.

The RPMs are not that high so accuracy to the gram would not be necessary.

Seen the same video as above and same type of video cut away on auto filters of phrahm filters versus oem and replacement filters and for the same reason.
There are several level of WIX but most get the gold.
For the Super Duty (6.2L) that was traded up to pull the NX; it will get Motorcraft filters for that very reason.

My HST filter is about 75 and maybe Donaldson makes a replacement, just do not know.
BUT YMMV and for some saving 15 bucks and risking a machine under warranty is a personal ROI decision.

All I can recommend from all this, is if we as adults make that conscience decision we must prepare to live with the results.
Tractors are a whole different animal then autos. Autos have had the filter issue beat to death and there are many good aftermarket replacements to use.
There is even a good website for this called bob is the oil guy.

For tractors well finding out who is the OEM supplier for our machines must be a better guarded secret then who the next SCOTUS nominee will be.:D

Thank goodness though changing out the HST filter and oil is not a frequent event!

I thought about that but was afraid some of the others might have an unseen crack and might fail later. I guess $140 is pretty insignificant compared to the cost of an almost new tractor.

I am very cheap! So I agree that the price for parts like this seem crazy. If you really want to get worked up, order and pay for the right fender handle (that should have come with your tractor). But as was said, bite the bullet and in a couple months when the sting wears off, you will be happy! Sometimes I have to put things in terms of a "tank of gas". I don't think that much about the cost of driving my truck but my last fill up was $75. So, your fan was less than 2 fill-ups, or the right fender handle is a fill-up. Somehow that helps me....

Not only that, but you wouldn't get the same amount of air flow as you would get from a whole fan.
