Kubota 3830
I’m starting to investigate Kubota tractors and have been favorably impressed with the l3830 and l4330. One local friend expressed a concern about parts availability. He believed that parts were very difficult to obtain.

My local dealer assures me that this is not true.

What are your feelings? Have any of you owners experienced *significant* down time due to a lack of parts?

thanks.

Re: Kubota Parts availability?

I can't imagine a parts problem for Kubota from any dealer that pays it's bills. If they don't have it in stock, it only takes a day or two to get things. There are also several sources on the Internet if you want to source them yourself.

I agree, parts are usually easy to get. I have been quite successful at getting necessary parts the same day or within a week. Of course the size of the dealership and strangeness of the part are contibuting factors.

As an example, I ordered a complete set of Ag tires and wheels from my local dealer. I received them 8 days later.

I have never had a problem with parts, but then, I have never really needed much in the way of parts. The L3830 and L4330 are dynamite. The L4330 being one of my favorites. Larger loader, large displacement engine with plenty of torque. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Nah, Kubota parts are easy to get. I haven't had to order too many, as the thing has been very reliable, but I've gone through the dealer and over the Internet and have never waited much more than a few days.

Any chance that your friend is worried about getting parts for "one of them foriegn jobs"? That might be an issue with the grey market tractors, but Kubota is really big in the US and has a strong dealer and parts network.

No problems (if it is a US tractor). Had to get a water pump for my 10+ year old L3450. Just called my dealer, did my order over the phone, the pump showed up a week later by UPS. It is good to have an account with your dealer so you can just order over the phone.
