Has anybody else experienced problems with getting Kubota Parts? My dealer has had my B2150 with LA350A loaded for nearly three weeks. Claims he is waiting for a part for the loader control arm to come from Japan.

Man... I miss my tractor, can't cut the grass, or plant the trees, or move the mulch.

What is the deal anyway with Kubota parts?

Sorry! Just venting.

In 1999, I waited more that 6 weeks for an adjustable lift arm for my B2400.

Tim, I don't think that happens too often with Kubota, but I know how frustrating it can be when it happens with anything. My first showroom new car once sat in the shop 6 weeks waiting on parts. And now I repair/rebuild automotive air tools and right now I have one name brand tool for which I've been waiting for one little $2 part for 3 months (and I've called frequently trying to find out when I'm going to get it because I know I've got an unhappy customer and don't blame him).

The word I get is Kubota put off ordering their parts from Japan and the inventory here got very low. Supposedly they recently got 9 containers so the problem should be over soon. Your dealer should have given you the option of paying a little extra to get the parts in 3 days.

A letter was sent to the dealers that may not ease your present situation but it will let you know Kubota is aware of a parts problem... and they are working on it...

Kubota Tractor is well aware of the parts dilemma that now confronts us. Just as every one of you have physical constraints that prohibit you from stocking all possible parts in big enough quantities, Kubota Tractor Corporation has the same healthy business constraint. Each of us has to anticipate how many, of exactly what part, to have on the shelf at what time. It gets a little harder for us here in that we have to manufacture parts and our suppliers must also anticipate our demand so that they may stock the appropriate raw materials. We all know the expense involved. Very simply; Kubota Tractor anticipated incorrectly. We simply did not foresee the expanded demand nor did we anticipate the timing of that demand.

With that stated, this is what Kubota is doing to improve:
...

The letter goes on to state the many improvements that are underway. Unfortunately, it will not happen overnight but it does seem to be well in the works. The last paragraph reads as follows...

As you can see we are not taking our situation lightly. The whole Kubota team working hard on projects will directly result in better service to you. We are committed to dependable parts support worthy of being called "Kubota Quality".

Tim,

I've only had to order a couple of parts. The spacer and retaining clip for the joystick for my FEL was missing (or fell off?). The dealer didn't have it in stock, but it only took a couple of days to get the replacement.

Kubmech,
I was quoting directly off the letter we received in March. There was a follow up letter updating the progress of different areas being worked on that came the first week of May. They were both signed by the new parts manager out of California.

As an update, going to start my FORTH week of waiting. The dealer "Backyard Power" in Woodbine Maryland, seems to have a severe problem returning phone calls. Thay have a "voice mail" system and I imagine that they sit around and drink coffee and let the voice mail answer the phone. After leaving messages for three days I finally got the parts manager on the phone, whosaid that the part was "in the pipeline" and he was hoping to get it monday. WOW.... i would think that if Kubota knew they had such a severe problem with parts, that they would inform the custoimer up front. This is really ridiculus. My grass is 1 1/2 feet high now. No way to keep a Kubota customer happy.....
