Tractor

Hi, I have recently bought a Ransomes TS59 3 furrow plough after being told that my Kubota L2421 would comfortably handle it.
My tractor has a Cat 1 hitch and I think the plough is probably a Cat 2.
If I modify/make an adaptor frame will the tractor plough with it or should I start again?
Thanks

A category 2 plow is likely to be a bit much for most category 1 tractors.

Depends slightly on your soil.
A (very) general rule of thumb is one hp per inch of cut. 3x16= 48 HP. 2x16=32 HP, 3x14 = 42 HP etc. It's a starting place. I pull three 14 inch bottoms with a 50 hp at the PTO tractor. Yes it will vary with your soil type, moisture, what's growing on it etc.
You can remove the rear bottom if you can't pull it as a three. What tractor do you have?
Also the size of the plow (14", 16")
