Unfortunate. So are you still looking at bigger? Or just dealing with what you have?

On a side note, my wife always tells me I go too small. Sales people love her. LOL. She upsized the Z and the MX.

She was right. ..........hopefully she misses these posts. LOL

I wouldn't mind going to the MX series tractor but I'm still upside down on my loan (2nd year of a 5 year loan) for the tractor and implements.

The dealership was offering me $14k on trade-in, which if it was paid off I would have done it.

If you mean engine oil filters, that is a dealer issue because Kubota MSRP is nowhere near $20 for a B series engine oil filter.
Thanks for getting me to check around on filter prices, I can't blame the 20 dollar filters on Kubota, I called a couple other places and they were just under $11.00 ea. at those two dealers.

Sometimes it's the principal, so I'm taking the gold plated filters back!

Yes, it was engine oil filters...

I guess I'm use to buying other brands of oil filters (that are larder in size) for bigger diesels and paying LESS for them!

Your dealer is ripping you off if they're charging that price.
Messick's has the engine oil filters for our B series (PN: HH150-32094 ) for $10.97 each.

I got the 3rd function skid plate & loader QC guard from them for my Grand L4060. The Grands have a few weak spots for getting hit underneath too, so going bigger isn't always a fix. The 3rd function plumbing is a huge vulnerability hanging way down. Hydraulic filters are tucked up a bit, but still able to be hit by an errant stick.

Anyone with a Grand L who plans to work in any sort of rough terrain should protect the soft underbelly. I had a buddy make my skid plate.

I only and always use Kubota filters on my Kubota tractors. Especially the hydraulic fluid side. In my case, my dealer's filter prices are very much inline with Baldwin or Fleetguard. Filters and lubricants are the cheapest things you will ever use, why scrimp.

This is a B, not an M... Anyway, how do you beat the heck out of a "hydraulic pump" on a tractor that has NO remotes and has been taken care of and had the oil changed regularly??? answer: YOU DON'T!

Here's another SUX, yesterday I went to buy a couple kubota oil filters, 20 bucks a piece!! Even a kubota "fan boy" should be able to see that as a rip off!

Pump life depends entirely on how hot it gets and more importantly, what fluid you use. You cheap out on fluid, it lessens pump life. I always use top tier fluids, in my case Chevron THC All Weather Synthetic. It's even more expensive that SUDT but I have both my MJ's on the same fluid diet with Kubota filters. I get it in 55 gallon drums delivered. Each of my tractors requires 15 gallons a change and 12 quarts of engine oil.

A B is way too tiny for my use. More of a residential unit for the suburban wannabe farmer.

Not sure what I pay for filters, my wife pays the bill but it's not over the top by a long shot. Really don't matter, it's a business expense for the farm.
