Full featured tractors cost more than economy models. The dealer I work for sells many, many dozens of L, MX and M series Kubotas each year. Of those far less than 5 are Grand L tractors. Five tractors, not five dozen. Other areas undoubtedly have a different mix.

You must have beat the heck out of it... I have 2 M's and the one has 2000 hours and the other 4000 hours and both pumps (and everything else) is just fine. I farm with them btw.
This is a B, not an M... Anyway, how do you beat the heck out of a "hydraulic pump" on a tractor that has NO remotes and has been taken care of and had the oil changed regularly??? answer: YOU DON'T!

Here's another SUX, yesterday I went to buy a couple kubota oil filters, 20 bucks a piece!! Even a kubota "fan boy" should be able to see that as a rip off!

I guess you don’t price many hydraulic filters. $20 does not buy many of any brand. If you mean engine oil filters, that is a dealer issue because Kubota MSRP is nowhere near $20 for a B series engine oil filter.

Yeah, try $40+ for hydraulic filter. Don't know why it should be that expensive, but it paid to buy the extra under carriage protection for the filters.

I would add arm rests to the mx seat. It makes using the loader a lot more comfortable.

Wise choice. They also give you something to grab if you need to look behind you.

I would have been fine with that except the salesman never told me that. In fact he could have gotten to buy a bigger tractor had he just pointed out the clearance underneath and the lack of protection.

And I don't see why Kubota couldn't offer a forest package of some sort for these compact tractors.

EH? Did you tell the salesperson your planned uses? Did you look under the tractor for height and just what was under it?

Yep. And what was mind boggling is that the salesman did everything possible NOT to sell me a bigger tractor.

****, I was wanting any reason to get a bigger tractor but my wife was siding with the salesman.

As a first time tractor buyer I was relying on the salesman.

When I asked about trading in my L3301 on a MX5200 the salesman told me the L3301 wasn't meant for working in the woods. After I rolled my eyes I left.

Unfortunate. So are you still looking at bigger? Or just dealing with what you have?

On a side note, my wife always tells me I go too small. Sales people love her. LOL. She upsized the Z and the MX.

She was right. ..........hopefully she misses these posts. LOL

I've bought my first and only tractor 2 years ago, L3301 and haven't had the need of a tilt steering wheel or two pedal forward/backward design.

My only issue is the lack of protection for the two hydraulic filters. I've smashed both while working in the woods and had to buy a protection pan for both.

Did you find a protector plate by chance? I would like to have one also. Thanks!

Yes, it was engine oil filters...

I guess I'm use to buying other brands of oil filters (that are larder in size) for bigger diesels and paying LESS for them!
