I recently purchased a used 48" Kubota snowblower Model B-222A. I have no idea how old it is. In the parts and owners manual it shows it mounted to the front of a B7100. The one I purchased is set up on a 3 point hitch on the rear. It all seems to work fine. I am wondering about parts availabity. Does anyone have experience getting parts for this model blower? I assume Kubota did not build this. All of the nuts and bolts are standard SAE inch measurments. Can anyone identify what company actually built it? It kind of resembles the Woods slowers on their web site. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated "before the snow flies

Looking at the lower 3 pt hook up and the PTO drive it certainly looks like my Woods SS-60, but a lot smaller.

Thanks for your reply Wayne. I also think it looks very similar. I would really like to find someone that has an older Woods SB series to compare photos. Or if someone has any other info.

Its the same as the one I just rebuilt, model plate on the blower said Kubota b-222. I spoke to a local dealer that said it was made for Kubota by Mackee or Mckee. I've just replaced all the bearings, the bushings under the small drive sprocket for the, the small drive sprocket and a new chain. I re-welded the skids, added electric chute rotate and linear actuator for the chute damper. I had to replace a 2"strip of metal in the lower back of the blower housing and added an angled cutting edge as the blower tended to lift over some of the hard packed snow. I suppose it would have been quicker to just replace the whole thing, but wheres the fun it that.

Wow--- nice job!!:):) Roy you sure did a great rehab. Lots of questions. Where is the Identification plate located on your blower? I can't find the one on mine? When you bought the parts did you get them from Kubota? Where did you get the linear actuator and the chute rotator?

The model plate was on the upper right side of the back of the blower housing, you can just see it in the older pic. All the parts I got were standard ag bearings I bought at the local TSC store. The rotate for the chute is a power window motor from a car, it works well once the blower chute gets some snow in it to help lubricate the base. I've added some small bearings at the bottom of the chute instead of the metal keeper brackets hopefully it will make the chute rotate easier. The linear actuator was surplus from a job. I haven't tried the blower out since I rebuilt it, I should be able to try it in the next month or so. I also have larger linear actuator to use as an adjustable upper link, that should help to reduce the stones picked up on my drive and allow me to adjust to cut down to the asphalt on the other drives. I still have the control box on the tractor to wire before the snow flies.
