Thank you Tres..../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I never owned a Kubota,I never drove one I have a John Deere 4400.With that being said....Where I live there are a lot of Kubotas,be it a lawn mower or a compact tractor and I never have heard anything bad about a Kubota.Way back in the early 80's I was looking at Kubotas and Mitsubishi....I went with the Mitsubishi because the Kubota dealer was so far away...The Mitsubishi (Beaver III)served me well for years,I finally outgrew the Mitsubishi and not to mention the Mitsubishi parts(what few I ever needed) were hard to find because Mitsubishi had quit selling the tractors in the states and mind you the internet life had never made it to my home yet,so finding parts was not easy.Another kid on the block back then was Yamnar. These were the 3 brands to have back then in a compact tractor(in my opinion)it was the same as the auto industry, because like it or not but the Japanese were doing the right things by making such good things, they were kicking our butts in quality. My John Deere 4400 has not been with out problems,it has caused me more problems in 18 months and the same amount of hours (give or take 30 hours) than the Mitsubishi caused me in 18 years. The most confidence I have in the reliability factor on my JD4400 is the engine,it has performed flawless and it is a Yamnar engine.I like my JD4400 despite the problems and frustration I have had with owning it,it is a bigger machine than the Mitsubishi and I have done some big jobs with it and it is a comfortable tractor to operate.
