Dang, didn't mean to insult anyone. But I think the harley/kubota comparison might be purty acurate. Both are heavy duty and quality. I think if harley made a tractor... well anyway, got the
bx2200 today. just had to try it out in the yard. I had a area that needed cut, so off I went. With all the rain we had got, the ground was pretty wet. My cub would have went right over it, without much mess, didn't realize how heavy the bx is... sunk about 3 inches my first pass. Man I almost cried. my brand new Kubota slinging mud (ag tires) I was afraid to slow down, so I killed the PTO and kept chugging through. I got out alright, but the bota... looked like well, a tractor. I spent the next 2 hours washing it. I did find some grass to cut, and it did a great job. very smooth. Cant wait to cut the grass again! Never said that before.
The mech who went over the controls with me said to run it full throttle all the time, that a diesel needs that. Regardless, I'm going to vary the power setting's, full throttle all the time on a brand new engine cant be good, anyone ever hear of such a thing?
* I'm in jefferson county, 10 miles north of Steubenville.
* I hope I can get 50 years out of the kubota. Will prolly need help getting in the saddle, though.
* And yes, 8 years without a problem on the Harley. 1994 Dyna-wide glide convertible. 13,000 miles.
ps. Waxed the kubota after i washed it, that Harley glaze sure makes that orange shine!
