I am pulling a 60 inch woods on my B7800. It has never let me down. I have tore up and reclaimed some areas that were driving me nuts for years. Now I am looking for more stuff to clear. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I might have to swap for a rear finishing mower because it did such a nice job. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Now for the serious part.

Run AWAY, run quickly! Those pavers/bricks were almost the death of me! I think somewhere in here there is a picture of scope creep. Not on my part, /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif, my wifes. I think I said an 8X10 area ended up being close to 3 thousand of them. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif RUN!

I love my B2910 but if I had a little more property it would be on it way to the dealer and a L series would be coming back. But with only 3.7 acres that does not make sense... unfortunately...no matter how hard I try... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Henro ... don't you find the B2910 to be overkill for 3.7 acres? I've not noticed you don't have any livestock on your land ... from the pictures you've posted, you're land doesn't appear too flat ... have you got one of the long hilly monster drives?

Ok, I just got back from the Kubota dealer. They didn't have a B2910 but I did drive the B7800. No surprise that he said the extra cash for the b2910 really wasn't worth the money. I also did ask about the L3130. Now the real question, is the L3130 really worth the extra cash over the 7800? They have about the same hp but do know the L is a bigger machine. Based on the quotes I got today, The L is $1,215 over the b2910 and $2,785 more than the B7800. Do think it's worth the extra money?

sekinger .... The B7800/B2910 and the L3130 (or last years L3010) are very different tractors. For you to note that they are separated by only a coupla horsepower will just confuse you even further.

The L series tractors are on much large frames, higher torque are weigh considerably more than any of the B series machines.

Go back to the dealer if he's got an L series, test it, and the substantial difference between these machine series will be apparent.

Worth more money? Could very well be.

I hope so. I'm expecting my L3130 in about 1/2 hour!
My deciding factor was when the dealer said that the extra size and weight of the 3130 would have it outpull something with a few more horses (the 3400 I was looking at). He did tell me that he didn't think the 2910 was worth the extra money over the 7800. In that case it was simply a bells and whistles decision. Don't mean to offend any 2910 owners, just repeating.

I have the B7800. I don't know if the bells and whistles are worth it or not for the B2910. I know the little I have used it I wouldn't mind having the telescoping side links. Don't think I care if the wheel tilts or telescopes, and The B2910 is nearly plumed for a rear remote, that alone is a 700 dollar extra on the B7800.

As far as the L3130, completely different tractor. MUCH larger even though the specs don't show it. I didn't need or want the larger physical size so I never persued it. My brother-in-law just got a L3430 for his place (8 acres) in Northern CA and I will see him next week to see how he likes it. According to my sister, he does wear the Kubota smile. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

12 feet by 20 feet and 12 feet by 25 feet. Big L shaped patio for the wife that looks out over that vista and towards the Rocky Mountains. Just over 2400 pavers. I bought them last year, looked at them all winter, decided there was no way I was doing the job without a tractor to help ecavate and move the pavers, the gravel and the sand. I went on Strike. I told the wife nothing was happening until I got the tractor. She put up the good fight but after looking at those pavers and deciding she really wanted that patio she relented.

Hey Freds Great choice. Newbie glad I finally found this site.
I have been looking at the same tractor L3130. What did you have to pay for it and does anyone know of a good dealer here in KY. Most Dealers I have talked to act as if they are doing you a favor and pricing has varied a little. I have some heavy Fescue and tall weeds. Does this sound like a big enough tractor for 12 acres with some hills.
