Kubota Tractor Package Deals

How can everyone comment on the package deal being "crap" without knowing what is in the specific package? No price or details are given. It may that the implements are just what OP needs. Then again, maybe not. Need more info

I’m commenting on packages where the implement model numbers are published and the deficiencies of the trailer offering are plain to see in the photo. IMHO any 12 series Landpride box blade is a POS as are their 12 series rotary cutters for most applications. Price doesn’t enter into my thoughts.

Got it. I didn't look at the photos on the vendor site. Was under the impression that everyone was saying package deals suck without knowing the details. Now I realize you were commenting on the specific items shown. :thumbsup:

we too have these deals so they must be offered in several states if not all. What I saw when looking at one before buying the l2501 is that the implements offered to me were all lightweight ones which I did not want, also the trailer was lightweight as well and made locally which is fine but not the low weight rating to include tires. I did get one free implement but paid extra for the heavy duty rather than the lighter one. Just look at what you are being offered is my suggestion.

Yeah maybe true. But ive seen these deals and if closer to NY I would have jumped on them. When you factored in what you were getting for the price you were getting some of the stuff for free compared to what a lot of NY dealers were charging for a lot less.

But for what these packages are selling for, it's the same as what local dealer wants for just tractor and FEL... would you really turn down FREE implements and a trailer, just because they are cheap? If you were buying a toolbox and it came with "cheap" tools for the same price as just the toolbox, would you really say "nah, I don't want them"?

Say trailer and these "cheap" implements are worth $3000 together... this is basically saying that the tractor and FEL is $3000 cheaper than my local dealer...

exactly, they had a deal with tractor, fel, snowblower and trailer for the same price basically as my tractor and fell. Worst case if its so cheap, scrap metal value would probably return me something

Not everybody needs heavy duty implements. I have over a dozen of them and only 2 are medium duty. Most of these i have been using for over 15 yrs. and they still work fine. I am also using them on three different properties the largest being 360 acres . You also dont need a 14000 lb trailer to haul around a smaller compact tractor.

I looked at package deals before I purchased my first tractor early this year. What finally swayed me away from this is the low end model of implement and trailers that was being packaged with the tractor.

In the end I bought my heavy duty trailer and implements separately and have not regretted it.

I like Messicks, but I would not call package deals "shady". Shady means an intentional effort to deceive. Package deals are certain pieces of equipement packaged together at a price point. A knowledgeable buyer who performs due dilligence will know whats in the package, the specs, and fair cost. If you dont do your homework, well, that's on the buyer.

Does anyone have any experience buying one of the Kubota package deals that some dealers list online? Basically its tractor with FEL, 7,000lb trailer, land pride brush cutter and land pride box blade. Their prices are about the same as what my local dealer quoted me for just the tractor with FEL.

Trailer will be junk, implements will be bottom of barrel. You are smart enough to see the dealer is making a larger profit margin on these and that痴 why they continue to be offered.

What is the price of the tractor alone (ie compare apples to apples)? The last thing you want is something you cant use for years to come. I would check out the implements and trailer brands very closely and compare to the type of work you need them to do.
