KUBOTA travels at half speed

If you get it to work in low, it will likely work in all ranges. Keep fiddling with it. If you can take it apart and clean the contacts, it will probably work. The other end of that electric switch (solenoid that actually does the gear switching may also be the culprit. I would concentrate my efforts on those 2 items first.

MarkV, thanks for your reply. I haven't changed the hydraulic fluid or filter since I loaned the tractor to my father-in-law 5 years ago. He did tell me he had recently changed them but he was on heavy doses of morphine (dying with cancer) when he said that and his mind wasn't clear. The fluid looks clean but maybe I had better change it and the filter to be sure. I don't know about a screen in the hydraulic system so I'll dig out the manual and check that out.

dex3361, thanks for replying. I never thought about the peddle maybe having slipped on the shaft. I'll check for that, thanks.

Harry in Ky You were right. There was a piece of hard plastic jammed out of sight under the rubber floor mat. It stopped the pedal from going all the way down. Thanks for a great suggestion. Problem solved.

I also have the same problem. Although my trans is hydrostatic. I should be getting close to 10 mph. Currently I'm betting 4.24 mph. My fel's has plenty of up and down power. All 4 wheels will spin out under heavy loads. The dealer says $1500 bucks is a good place to start on repair costs. Has anyone ever split their Kubota in half themselves? I have a Kubota b2400,

Orange don My Kubota B2150 has a hydrostatic transmission too. The forward/reverse pedal has two adjustment bolts on it. The front one sets the maximum forward speed because the end of the bolt hits the floor of the tractor stopping the pedal from going down any further. In my case a piece of hard plastic (and lots of dirt) got caught in the rubber floor mat so the bolt hit the plastic and stopped the pedal from going all the way down to the floor. If your'e lucky, maybe that's all that's wrong with your B2400.
